i spent too long trying to think of a witty title and this was the best i could come up with ;)

There's something about this summer that seems unique. Maybe it's the first time that I get to spend some time alone, or maybe it's just that moment of my life. Whichever it is, I'm sure this will be a great summer.

I started something different but it came out the same.

Lazy sunday vibes.

I started off with a major 7th chord to keep things airy and used lots of reverb for a washed out feel. Most instruments are routed to a sidechained bus for that subtle ducking, and various instances of izotope vinyl are used for some extra warble and degradation.

A cassette hiss loop plays throughout, and some rain noise is added in the second chorus for some extra white noise-like warmth and fullness.

The title is more complicated than the piece. Just some guitar, mandolin, and violin being slow and tired.

My audio interface crapped out, so I used a Roland VP-03 vocoder as my audio interface.

Yet I like it. I like it a lot.

I want that heat to be there,

I nearly did a cover, but then i thought no, it needs to be more than simply being warm. I also tried doing more 1 chord like material, but something clicked halfway making that track. I'd remembered i made a start on a Psychedelic like piece (Or at least closer to what Psych music is, compared to my previous efforts). I listened to it, and while it's a little to energetic for the theme, the vibe is perfect, and i couldn't bring myself to not use it, so i did. I just merely expanded upon it, added more instruments and melodies, and just overall make it into a fully fleshed piece of music. It starts off already warp like, but slowly and surely it gets even more messed up, whilst still retaining a coherent chord progression and melodic idea. Like this one a lot, sounds fun. Hope you do too!
