recorded in bed with ableton stock plugins. and a tenor ukulele i had laying around. i really should sleep. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
I'm back again with my sample series, where i construct tracks out of prior OHC entries. This time i'm back to featuring a single artist. So all the samples in this one come from a single artist in question, which surprisingly includes a lot of the drums. For this i only need the artist name, not what tracks were sampled. If you don't want to partake in this, then don't worry, as i still used my creative chops to make a beat in 1 hour using sampled material, so it's nothing lazy. Have fun!
some trance stuff I guess, working on arrangement and song structure
Junk Man is sad.
Just give me isolation
i feel the ceiling raising
and although i am breaking
you'll see no hesitation
just leave me all alone
on my own
cause i got something to show
from all this
and when it hits
i don't want to see some people come around baby
it look a little crowded lately
but that's just fine
so i don't mind
my motto lately
it look a little crowded lately
but that's just fine
so i don't mind
my motto lately
Look at me now I'm on this road again
don't waste my time you should only ask me when
lets take it back and this time leave nothing left
you aint see nothing cause I've only just began
This was my first attempt at an original composition. Prior to this, I'd mostly been just arranging midis. I made the drum track first, then just sort of played around with the bass until I found a sound I liked, then did the same with the acoustic guitar.
I wasn't going for any particular sound or style, with it being a free-for-all, my goal was just "punch the keys and make something that sounds good."
just float on by, not a care in the world
Dang havent done compo in a minute, hope its up to par!
More of my usual fare. I'm feeling a little stuck with the sounds I'm using right now, though, and I feel like I need to work on my instrument palette. I'll try to do that by next week.
Vroom vroom
ad-libbed after some experimenting went wrong
I don't know why you say you can trust me
I don't know why you say that
I don't know why you say you can trust me
when I can't even trust myself
I don't know why you say you can trust me
I don't know why you say that
