just float on by, not a care in the world
I liked where the song was going but I ran out of time and motivation, but I still wanted to turn something in. A short clip of what is hopefully a more full song later.
I had no time, did the best i could with three plugins. It definitely feels like one I'd like to revisit and expand on later.
Accidentally de-tuned the music box forcing me to work in a key I usually never do. I don't even know what key it is. Given I was already doing things I wouldn't normally do, I did the same with the rhythms.
The theme is clearly a setting in daytime, but a music box is nocturnal no matter how hard I try to make it otherwise. A second song using mostly just music box, but now with a soft base and obscene amounts of reverb.
I'm back and I'm using an amen break again. The vibe is meant to match that of finding very important secrets.
I acquired a new music box VST which I really wanted to use! However, as I made the song, trying to add other instruments made it feel worse, so this is made of nothing but a music box and polyrhythms.
For the last two weeks I listened to a lot of Drum and Bass, with my favorite being a jazz/atmospheric subgenre with old 3D renders from the 1990s/2000s that I found on Youtube. The picture reminded me of it, so it was finally time for me to try my hand with it. It's a good first step though I don't think I perfectly nailed the vibe.
Looking at the picture, I felt like I had at one point went through this environment in a game. So, I made a song that I felt like I had at one point heard in that same game. Sadly, I can't think of what game it was.
Atmospheric and crystalline.
