Last week focusing on using FFMQ samples. This time I tried to blend them a bit more and integrate the sounds with my more traditional production techniques. Can safely say that these are a part of my toolkit now!

Not a usual compo for me, but I wanted to practice using my new-and-improved live looping setup and record some bad lyrics, so here you go. I also had to fix my max for live patch during the hour because it was doing weird stuff. Not entirely sure if this is a nukage production or not.

Sometimes the greatest pleasure is staying at home, eating a big piece of chocolate.

It's a backing track, that is definitely lacking a singer. I didn't want to add any melodies in, because i believe only a singer can fulfil the duty. It's very bubblegum-ish with a lot of tight dance grooves, and a breakdown in the middle. Again the reason it's simple, because i need some vocals, both harmonisation and melody wise, and since i can't sing at 2am, nor do i want to sing anyways, it's an instrumental.

Also the title is a reference to a movie, try and guess if you can!

Kinda sweet and snobby, went for a vaguely classical feel, since chocolate was rich folk's food long ago. And some warm strings, cuz I like strings.

Experimenting with some newish sounds for me, a hot mess of synths and stuff with the net result of a chocolate bar left in one's pocket too long.

couldn't sleep, and remembered its ohc time so i quickly installed FL studio and created something a bit fast late minute

i hate chocolate syrup
