A little short aggressive track I made

Idk it was kinda cool

Soundtrack for a NES Platformer featuring a young boy called Dustin. At the moment i only had time and space for 2 stages, a boss theme, a credits theme, a title theme and a Character Select theme, but that's the 6 minute rule for ya lol.

The game is a standard platformer A La Mario or Sonic kind of thing, but with a bit of a cool kid attitude in the character development, hence why the soundtrack is rave focused. That and it was quickest style to do, so i could make a number of pieces, instead of just one. It was about being efficient, especially when working with limitations. I also tried to make it close to the original limitations as possible. So that means 5 channels max, including 1 DPCM channel, 1 noise channel, 1 triangle channel and 2 squares. I also make use of the Arpeggio function. Enough about that though, let's go through the tracklisting:

Another GBA soundfont project. Funny story, several parts of this came from a remix of a song done with Souperion. I liked the melodies he created for the mix, and wanted to use them for an original source. Gives me water-level vibes.

Just a little thing that I made outta a short midi I made a while back, wanted to explore it as a possibility for a project. Used GBA soundfonts so I wouldn't kill myself on instrumentation. So it sounds pretty... rough.

recorded a bunch of guitars to try and do something pop-adjacent, had to step away from my daw until a few minutes before deadline. time for jank.
