For this compo, I threw together a quick remix of "Ruler of my Heart" from "Alien Stage".

Super rushed and made a few strange artistic choices.

Uploading anything to be honest, makes me nervous, as there is a guarenteed chance UMG has already sought copyright. So it's pretty theme acurate lol.

It's a very rare turn of events, where i haven't relied on mainly samples. Usually the sample carries the melody, and then i just add a beat and other synth embelishments. However in this case, the entire piece is more or less my own melodies, aside from a sampled arp that comes from a Zenith piece (Short lived downtempo act in the 90's). I tried to incorperate a lot of swing to keep it funky, as well as a really smooth chord sequence. In the middle we modulate from D Minor to C Minor and i go wild with a piano solo, which you would never think i would do, given what i'm known for musically here, but hey it actually works, i kind of like it. All in all, i hope you enjoy!

Ok so I initially wrote this on my acoustic guitar as a sort of acoustic jam but then didn't really have the means to record it. Tried putting it into acoustic guitar VST but it sounded bad so I just popped it into my new folk plugin (which I'm still figuring out how to use) and messed around. The progression is sort of intact and I hope it calms y'all nerves
