I got this letter in the mail today, thought I'd read it

Started with keys, evolved into something I didn't expect. Did some improv with the synth lead thing. Hooray for quantization.

It's all bright and pastel.

I went for the Factory/Drudgery vibe in the awesome key of C#.

This is my song, "Yeah". I made it using Rosegarden and my SoundBlaster Live soundcard, with MIDI synthesis cabability. And I used OpenMPT for sampling.

Metallic Madness comes to mind. I guess I was thinking of something like that while writing this.

Picture yourself in the dark, grimy workings of a metal factory. All around you, molten metal is being poured into molds, great, powerful machines are hammering relentlessly down upon pieces of forged metal, and alarms are blaring in the background, signaling break time, or a cycling of work stations. It's dark, hot, and gritty. And at the end of the day, all systems shut down.

My first compo entry, and one of my first songs made on a computer so.. hope you like it!
