That hour srsly flew by, I didn't get to do like most of the things I wanted to do. I guess I spent too much time building vertically instead of horizontally. Oh well, there's always next time.

I really stretched the theme this time. I'm feeling really stressed and was in the mood to get out all my angst in a compo, and I guess the theme of "Thanks" wasn't going to stop me. I feel bad though because everyone else probably did nice songs.

One of my favorite VG songs ever. I am on some kind of epic chronic insomnia kick, and much of this was recorded and mixed in a majorly sleep-deprived state. Thanks to Palpable who helped with the EQing/mixing and Level99 who let me borrow his headphones when Palpable ran off with ours x_x

This is a WIP of a remix of Look to the Sky from DDR. With scratch vocals and has not really been produced.

I made about 20-30 seconds of this and had no idea what else to do with it. That's when the rest of the song was born.

Spending about a quarter of the compo trying to export each clip of vocals and guitar from Cubase into indiv .wav files, and then import them into FL and line them up so that it's exactly in time with the rest of the track = MAJOR FTL. I had 8 such clips this time, and I couldn't use them all bc it took too long. Not fun.

I need some new software, I hate FLStudio's live recording function.

Ahh what to say about this entry. I spent waaaaay too long trying to figure out how many measures each phrase has, Vivaldi was a tricky guy, I kept getting it wrong. (I have the sheet music too, but I was too lazy to go and get it.) Also I did this in C instead of E for I have no idea what reason, but it gets in my head in C because they have a simplified version of this for like level 1 piano that I'm teaching to a student and it's in C.

Wow you really didn't need to know all that, did you now. Anyway long story short, I did a Vivaldi remake using oscillators and metal guitar. OK so Vivaldi was a bit past the time of castles, but I wanted to do some sort of blend of classical regal sound + futuristic space sound.

This is probably the result of watching way too much Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

This was a timely compo because just yesterday, "Close to You" by fun Factory popped into my head, so 90's eurobeat has been on my mind.

Getting over what I think is bronchitis = no vocals, and also crappy flute playing! ...Nah, I really shouldn't blame my poor playing on bronchitis.
