My song is the best. I am the best.

Theory of Nonexistence managed to capture a sewer dungeon feel in an unlikely genre, and I just really liked his.

Listen, I'm pretty drunk so I don't really want to explain anything, but Starla says she took her pants off, so that's pretty cool.

level99 - the song sounded complete, and I loved the rythmn guitar.
risemix - I loved the jazziness
shael - although the instrumentation was pretty shitty, it had some pretty intelligent melody / chord progression / beat work, which I enjoyed

Level99 did a really good job with the 'chill' feel, I liked the development in that piece and the general vibe.

DjMokram had a similar vibe, very minimalist and subtle, but I liked the very layered melody that came out of the minimalism.

diotrans, great job, I really enjoyed it. It was a bit more traditional but I really felt structure here.

honorable mention: there were a lot of good tracks but cheers to JakeSnke17 who put a very good piece out this round. I also really liked Rellik, risemix, and Shael's tracks.

Lots of good tracks this round.

-Round 46-

Here are my usual criterias for voting:
-Success in capturing the theme
-Creativity and personal style
-Production values
-Effort put into it

Lots of great entries this week, very hard to choose from.

-Reasoning-

1st place - Rellik: As far as capturing the theme goes, this is it folks.
You can't be more in the sewer than than.
Synths fit the mood, sounding massive and yet subtle at the same time.
It has some dark & creepy atmosphere.
But the sound stays clean, even while covered in sewage.
Plus, the usual Rellik touch: unexpected musical surprises guaranteed. ;)
WIN

2nd place - L99: This is a great song.
Production is nice, with minor flaws.
I see what he was trying to do here, and following this idea, it works pretty well too.
Guitar parts bring a lot of energy and feeling into the mix.
The fact that its relying heavily on the bass loop, and that it has an ear-piercing hi-hat can be easily forgiven.
It's worth a second place in my book, for the overall performance.

3rd - Diotrans: The sewage is boiling in there! xD
The mood is set from the get go, nice bubbling sound.
Next the guitar, while a nice addition, somewhat got sloppy halfway through.
Like I said about your singing last week, I thought you could have done way better here too.
But 1 hour is tough, and you pulled some nice vibes here.
Deserves the wooden spoon. ;p

4th - Jakesnke 17: This song could come from Syphon Filter or something.
Despite the de-sync of the synth strings, it has some really dark feeling to it.
The kind of BGM that can make you anxious when you hear sounds from foes lurking in the shadows.

-CRAZINESS PODIUM-

1-Superjoe30
2-Halt
3-Gario

Reasoning: ...you guys are crazy and you know it! xD

See ya next time!
