My comments for all 3 of these are the same, because they are similar entries. I thought they were all very pretty, peaceful, and evoked the feeling of a library filled with important knowledge.

JH honorable mention, hilarious sample, great use of it, and perfect for the theme .)

I liked Bren's best - it's got driving, inspiring power behind it (shmup bgm or final battle music in an rpg) - and even though it wasn't very library-esque I have to give it to him. Usabell's was phenomenal as well and truly captured the library feel in both style and tibre, so he gets a close second. Biznut's was kickass with incredible guitar, percussion, and building but it was very unlibrary and had volume issues (getting quieter at times that it should get louder if anything) that bothered me, so third.

Hon ments to DDRKirbyISQ and ProjectSpam (despite serious clipping issues on PS's - love that accordian!).

FIRST Usabell - Most fitting track for the description I found. Great instrument choice, pro sound.

SECOND diotrnas - How can I not love this song, its fun its free, its in the library......see, its making me rhyme! Best inclusion of a cardigan of any OHC entry to date.

THIRD mv - also a nice instrument choice, description was accurate. Stood out a bit more than the others, therefore 3rd place.

HON MENSHUNS

JH - hahahaha

SWORD OF DESTINY - Your song didn't match your description, or maybe your description just set the bar too high for the song to deliver.

DUSTHILL GUY - I totally loved that track. minus the Penis. I maintain that PENIS is not really that funny, in word or in text. But your song rocked, I loved those sounds it was fantastic and made me smile

ProjectSpam - good song, but it sounded too active or busy for the scenario you described, IMO.

OCRE - a medal contender, no complaints, just got outshone in the end by a bit, nothigng to be ashamed of at all. I loved the ticks of the clock, good composition.

XEROL - Made me think of Sora jumping around swinging his keychain in a library. I don't know why. Good composition as well, just didn't stand out enough for a top 3. Nice track.

RAMPKORV - Defintely made me think of some sort of Great Library, exploring it very actively, with lots of other people bustling around. Really a great track.

JakeSnake - Couldn't get the song and a library reconciled in my head even taking questionable scenarios into account, lol.

DDRKirbyISQ - Loved the lead at .39 (Z3ta?) nice groove, not library enough for me though. Another theme probably.

CYRIL - Nice evil squigly Bass intro or whatever you call that. Very applicable, great match for the description, evil indeed, but not quite library enough for a top 3.

SCI - Nice work bro, nothing wrong here just not quite top three. Yay!

ARCANA - some of the chords kinda threw me off of the theme a bit, I like the idea, in some spots it was great and some others it was a disctraction for me. aside. Maybe could have been a hair more epic, or could have dropped the unravelling from the title, I was expecting something more action/active ish but that may be as much my issue as yours. Am I writing enough yet? I like pizza and I ate out twice already today. There that should be good now.

OCRE - Faure Library
"Libary"? xD. The piano is really nice; so the dry tick-tock sound (which is awkwardly panned) doesn't quite mesh. Nice subtle bell sound!

Xerol - Obligatory Library Level
Nice buildup in the intro! This is total VG music.

RAMPKORV - lrarbiy
Yay happy. Nice layering of sounds here, I guess, and very neat development in the second section.

Jakesnke17 - The Sacred
Intro makes me think this is gonna be Secret of Mana temple theme or something. Really nice on the percussion--panning is appreciated and the intro fill is great. Very chill, very nice.

Obtuse - The Library Song
Oh man. Ohhh man. That's all I gotta say. Nice work.

diotrans - The Librarian
Happy!~ ^^ This makes me want to go to the library and run around spinning in circles with an obnoxiously giddy grin on my face. Wheee!~ Great song!

Bren - The Crystal Library
I need to get myself a good crystal-ly bell sound. Anyhoo, neat melody on the crystal bell sound. I like the section at 0:53 but wish there was some kind of transition to it. Same thing coming out of it.

cyrilthewolf - Library of the Devil
Whooo trippy fx. The chords you use really set the mood here. Dude that effect is TRIPPY. The bellish/chime melody really makes this song though.

dusthillguy - World Class Johnny
AAAIIIEEEEEE.

AINOR - e
whee.

ProjectSpam - Dust-Covered Books
Yay panning! I don't think I like -everything- being panned though. Perhaps bring the guitar/string sounds to the center.

swordofdestiny - Ghosts of the Past
whooo gating. very nice intro. i'm not liking the kick sample and bass quite that much, but that synth is pretty hawt. Lol at major ending.

Usabell - Ancient Tomes of Magic
Magic the Gathering PC game music. Nice atmosphere, as always!

just64helpin - A Simple System
hehehe, nice.

mv - Library of Gods
Epic but also happy. Nice development throughout.

Biznut - Library is Jumpin
This is that one kid who's just cruising through the library with his headphones on, then it just turns awesome. That bass gets repetitive after a while, but this is good stuff. Long song!

sci - Literary Adventures
Nice speedup at the beginning, yay!

Arcana - Unravelling the Holy Scroll
Good song to end the listening party, haha, nice.

if not for the abrupt ending, it would be hard to pick this out as something that was done in an hour, epic progression

DDRKirby

reminds me of something that could be in goldeneye, minus the vibrato synth anyway(which is awesome), love the beats

1. mv: I love your chord progression! I would have also used some harpsichord stuff...

2. usabell: that string part needs additional stuff. it sounds like a complete different track in the middle. production is on a high level as usual.

3. bren: great composition. the drums are maybe too simple and too fast, the other stuff is very good.

4. diotrans: I like your song!

Bren's pieces are always incredible, and this piece yet again does not fail to amaze, with its distinctive crystalline sound.

Xerol's piece has that mystical sound, as would a library of times long past.

And RAMPKORV does a good job with a sound befitting a modern library.

Fit theme, somewhat original, good instrumentation selection, fair to good production. Overall I think these were strong submissions representing the theme.

All of the submissions we're pretty good though, I don't think we've had a fail sub in a while now.

1st: "Irarbiy" - RAMPKORV
Oh the piano/classical skills. Fits an old library perfectly and is just great all-around.

2nd: "Ancient Tomes of Magic" - Usabell
Great composition and production once again, had a really misty feel to it, which fit the title just great.

3rd: "Unravelling the Holy Scroll" - Arcana
Really got fond of this one, even though the second half is almost too emotional for the theme; but this is a gorgeous theme and the first half fit perfectly. Good stuff.

3.5th: sci & OCRE both made awesome shizzle that fit the theme. sci's was really original & different yet worked, hesitated but Arcana hit the soft spot this time! OCRE's was gorgeous and perfect, I wish he had a bit more time to finish it and maybe broaden the ambience a little bit, but that piano tune was spectacular.

4th: All others, great tunes by all, but can't vote for everyone!
