I really like DDRKirby's one, it reminds me of the Space levels in "Kururin Squash!", and I totally love the music of this game.

Bren's entry totally reminds me of MegaMan ZX "Sky High -Grand Nuage-" which I love. Also a very space-y theme :)

I liked diotrans' entry a lot and found it very original and cute. Really love this.
Also, I would never have thought that someone would use anything except 4/4 for this compo's theme :)

Great work from a lot of people here and very hard to vote for.

diotrans Space Waltz was just breathtaking. Her chord choices and melody line show that she actually knows she's doing musically.

starla - I was just blown away by the arrangement and the length of the piece. Great job starla!

1st: Usabell - I posted in caps in IRC everytime a new element of the song was introduced, and that is what music should do for me. The pad was heavy yet elegant; it was exactly the type of sound I would want in a Space track. Nearly perfect track IMO, great work!

2nd: diotrans - This track took me to outerspace, I was there, I was feeling it, I was loving it. Great interpretation, slightly off vocally at points, but it didn't take anything away from the great experience of this track. Thumbs up!

3rd: DDRKirbyISQ - I am a bit of a sucker for some nice trance, and this was a very well made trance song. It was like the happiest space travel I could hope for, well composed, sounded pretty polished for an hour. Nice job!

AkogareZephyr - Searching the Galaxies
Nice vocals here, especially the bandpassed-ish narration. The background percussion is cool but the main kick+snare pattern is a bit dry for my taste *shrug*. Some bass would be nice too =D

Arcana - Chase in Space
Nice portamento on the lead; it's fun! Nice changeup at 0:58, though I wish you would have done more with that.

B-Type - In space, noone can hear you rap
Haha is that a tweakbench plugin I hear? This is...not normalized but still really heavily compressed =X. Vocals on the chorus are nice i think.

Biznut - Spacecruisin
Neat description! And wicked effects! This...also appears to not be normalized, and is kinda squashed at times. My main complaint here is that although you have the swooshyswirly effects which make things interesting and fill up a lot of soundspace, the parts where you -don't- have any effects sound really empty in comparison. 2:00 is golden though.

bjkmenu - corn rice pudding space
Trumpet!!! <3 This is a really really neat trumpet sound+melody+countermelody =O. Neat bells too. I didn't dig the percussion at 0:19 at all though =(. Wish there was a transition to 0:47, but the new sounds here are really really neat. Lol what's with the out-of-time-ness at the end xD

BrandonS - I forgot
Quarter! I like the tempo change haha. This is so sweet.

Bren - Dancing in Space
Happy dancing! I wish this had a little more variation--aside from the intro it's mostly the same "types" of sound, e.g. you never drop and just have pads, or just have percussion for a bit, or have a melodic solo, etc.

CJthemusicdude - Space: A scary frontier
The sounds in the background here sound like something from Yume Nikki, very very very cool. I wanna know how you made that >_< Oh man this is -great-!
...
(PS: my mom is pretty scary dammit)
Also I wish the last sentence had sounded more like the narrator from Space Quest 6 xD
I don't remember making any urmom jokes in the IRC either; hahahahahahaha...

diotrans - Space Waltz
Wow I love this. This is amazing. And impressive on the high notes! I think your voice closed up a little on the last bit though. Neat touch on the needle scratch; it was actually soft enough not to be too distracting.

Draconiator - Living Amongst the Stars
Hehe neat. That synth is so...old. haha.

Jakesnke17 - Go Faster!
Whoooooo loving the synths here, especially the plucky arp in the background. Wow, loving the hat sound here too. Nice attempt on the panning but usually I prefer my bass to be more centered =X.

just64helpin - Space Medley
Neat medley stuff, and then...OMG I'M PLAYING BRAID.

Level99 - Use the Technobathroom Before We Leave
Wow lots of cool synth sounds this week (figures!). Liking that arp, as well as the swirly effect sound in the beginning. Nice bell melody, but I wish it came through a little more, while still being mellow. Oh man, the bell sound at 1:38 is -great-. The bass is meaty but a little too dry when compared to the reverby bell sound imho.

Obtuse - MicroSpace
MicroKorg! Totally. Okay I didn't like the main pad coming in here at 1:05 but everything else here is cool. (intro was best =X)

ProjektZero - Fine.
Cool synths again! That's a really mean square arp. And the trickling effect in the background is great, combined with the "plip". I was so entranced I didn't hear anything you sang at all >_<.

sci - Russia's Magical Space Adventures!
Best intro! Holy cow, this is awesomeness. Liking the attitude of that arp, and the processing on those drums.

Shadix - Super Rocket
Intro and then choorddsss! That kick is really mean. >:D I don't know what that clicking is though =(. Vocals actually fit in really nicely here. Everything is mixed pretty well, good job! The chorder synth totally reminds me of a level from Tyrian.

siebensus4 - Saturn Beam
Moar spacey effects! Oh man everything is swirling in my head. I liked the filter on the drums but I'm not liking the snare sample.

starla - Flying Away From Here
Very very nice intro. How do you get such a "full" piano sound (yet still artificial)? I feel like it's layered. This could totally be a credits theme. Very "tight" drum pattern. Nice filtering on the vocals, and I'm loving the harmony! I wish the chorus wasn't so heavily filtered though; I want to really sing that out. =( That's probably my only complaint. Other than that this is really really good.

Suzumebachi - Something Something Space Ugh
WTFHAX, this is amazing. The only part I have issue with is the melody at 1:04, it's just kind of underwhelming. Everything else is extremely kickass.

TheMisterCat - Inside The Void
Wish the strings were a bit more spread out in the stereo field, and I'm not liking the kick drum here. But the vocals are really, really nice, as well as the arp synth. Long song o_o

trenthian - Evila Llits
Hehe.

Usabell - Planetary Journey
Awesome textures; you rock at having great pad sounds. Bass comes in at 0:19, awww yeah. That's a really tight kick sample, nice! And I'm really really digging the drums at 1:00, nice sequencing there. Very chill. =)

Decided to write much more detailed feedback this time.

Brandons Lol. No comment.

AkogareZephyr The spoken parts of the song were freakin awesome, the singing needs just a bit of work. Cool song though.

USABell Very head bob chill song B). Definetely a good entry and fits the theme well.

B-type Best title out of all the compos ;D. I really liked this one. You really do have some really slick skills, especially lyrically. Props.

Sci Very snazzy piece, a little confusing and short, but I liked it :D

Jakesnke 17 The rhythm was a bit too sporadic for me, but it definitely had a spacey cool feel to it :)

Trenthian Awesome portal tribute :D Made me smile. :D

DDRkirby Really solid comp. Very good beat, good changes, all around slickness. :3

siebensus4 Very good for a first entry. Nice feel with good spacey pads and drums. A little repetitive but still solid. :)

Arcana Good compo. nice pad and great lead.

Obtuse This was definitely a cool compo, very space feel. I wasnt a real fan of the synth that came in after the first minute. The first 60 seconds were the best IMO. :D

Bren Great transitions and very cool dancey song :3 Very full of energy and style!

Diotrans Good atmosphere song, had a good style. Vocals needed a little work though.

CJthemusicdude You rock. Keep being awesome ;3

Just64helping Very cool that you covered preious OHC. Very nice piano work. :D The backwards thing kinda threw me off though.

Shadix Wow this song/piece was crazy :O In a good way though, very cool :3

Level99 Very well done piece. Was very enjoyable to listen to and had a lot of good things going on with it. Solid stuff.

Starla Great piano and bass lines and harmony, good singing as well.

Biznut Definitely an interesting compo :O It was a bit draggy in the beginning but 2:00 and on was awesome :D.

Bjkmenu Yay this definitely sounded like a bjkmenu entry. I loved the intro with the horns, etc. Very fun piece to listen to with all the different sounds but didnt really fit the theme to me.

Themistercat - The synth and bass were hella wicked, had me in a trance throughout the whole piece. Good vocals as well. How you did all this in an hour boggles me. xD Two thumbs up mang.

Suzumbachi Awesome intro, good pads and maybe im bias but I loved the chord progression throughout. If only that percussion wasnt so distracting :P.

Projecktzero I really enjoyed the pads and synth noises, the lyrics were also good, vocals a little shaky though.

Once again we have a case off too-many-good-entry-itis. So I just picked a few songs that I feel fit the theme at it's best.

DDRKirby - Really good at capturing the feeling of movement and, with the square lead, adventure.

Usabell - *finger motion* You were this close to getting a first place vote from me, but DDRKirby's square lead won me over. The percussion (awesome hihats) really helped capture the feel of traveling.

Obtuse - Good fun, reminds me of a dream I had on Saturn. Generally a good sign when the compo theme is space travel.

and here, I would write a more detailed feedback list on all the other entries....but the voting ends in a few minutes and I don't want to miss the deadline. :)
