Experimented with automating the filter LFO on the sustained chords for a sort of "ripple" effect. Valhalla Supermassive really pulling its weight here to help wash out everything in reverb. Gentle 4-on-the-floor sidechaining helps to pull everything together.

half hour compo

Took a project file I had, took the chords that were in there, transposed them up a whole tone and changed the chord order, and the bpm, to make a new idea. Then I just took the heavier part and the lighter part and alternated triggering them while I sung some lyrics I had... then chopped it up into a shorter arrangement, added some vocal harmonies and transitions, and done.

This track initially was meant to be pure ambient, but TVG being TVG i couldn't resist adding in some Amen breaks, to make it borderline Breakcore in sound. It's not an obtrusive Amen, and the bulk of the sound still remains extremely wide, spacious and atmospheric. It's extremely lush and chill, but with that frantic break to keep it interesting. Towards the end though, there is a slower break, to finish it off. This track has a lot of long drawn out chords, so it's less about it being a progression, and more about it being a free flowing piece, with lots of arps, one note basslines, and other goodies. Put it this way, it's both chill and high energy. Enjoy!
