Week 2 (90MC002)
Outline
The sleepy pastoral village. More a collection of homes around a water wheel and windmill than a bustling city, but there's still enough business to keep a blacksmith open and a general store in stock with potions, ointments, salves, herbs, laxatives and curatives. Off course like all towns in a video game there's an inn, but it's more a bed and breakfast attached to the horse stable. And no sleepy village is complete without children playing throughout the streets and getting in the way of Real Work like slaying rabbits and squirrels in the countryside in order to level up. Keep an eye out for your contact with the rebel group!
Tonight's theme is "The sleepy pastoral village."
You may use any and all gear to create a song in MP3 format. Maximum song length is 6 minutes. You will have 90 minutes to create and upload your song. After a fairly lengthy walk, you arrive at a village. Nobody knows you, and you don't know them, but they treat you kindly.
You begin to make acquaintances with the townsfolk, they offer you bread and wine, while also providing you with comfortable accommodation. You've only just gotten to introduce yourself and already, they make you feel at home, because that's what it ishome.
You smile, lay back, and let out in slight grin while proclaiming I think i'm gonna like it here.
I decided for something melodic and heavy, something between orchestral and electronic. I also added a beat later on, to keep things interesting and to pick up the pace. I think this is among my best i've done in a while, but that's bragging lol.

away from it all it's a modest living
and if there ever would be a problem
wed solve it by ourselves
so take your ruckus and go
the world outside can be unforgiving
so just don't cause any probems
we can handle it ourselves

Sunny skies
whispering wind
birds on rooftops
running children
A life so simple
NPC's running round
not much to see here
in this quiet little town
A stranger shows up one day
to purchase from the shop
He's really quite busy
There isn't time to stop
But it's okay we told him
It won't take very long
Just kill the rats in the cellar
They're not even that strong
The last hero couldn't make it
We got another one one today
He stopped off at the blacksmith
but he had forgot to pay
So we the sent the town guard after him
and he's rotting his life away
but there's not much else going
just another sleepy day
