The 12th Anniversary (PRC312)
Outline
Like last year, it is also allowed to remix a different source (like an Anime Theme, an original trance song,a MID you have on your computer without knowing from what it is), a MID which was the source of an ORC before or anything you like).
It is even allowed to make an original track for this round, as long as most of the work is done during this round. It is not allowed to post a song which you did in the past. However, it is allowed to continue working on a WIP. The only restriction is that most of the time (> 50%) spend on the song is during the upcoming two weeks.
Even MIDI rips are allowed, but probably you won't get a first place with that.
Deadline is Friday January 1st 2016, 10:59 AM ThaSauce time (18:00 UTC, 19:00 GMT). Check the following site for the rules:

Note that the deadline is different as usual in both day and time. PRC313 start at the deadline of the remixing stage of this round (on Friday January 1st) with a source selected by the winner of PRC311.

If anyone has problems with registering or uploading the song to ThaSauce, please upload the song somewhere else and post a download link in the Ocremix thread. I recommend Soundcloud, don't forget to allow downloads to enable me to upload the song at ThaSauce.
The winner of this round may select the source for PRC314 (not PRC313).

So I had a few interesting ideas for this PRC, then I realized that I didn't actually have my normal music stuff with me, so instead you get this exciting demonstration of the Garageband default instruments!
The song itself is based on a ~10s clip that I had made years ago, which I had planned to use for a terrible short film about virtual reality that I never actually made.

This is a remix of A Walk in the Woods and Covenant Dance from Halo 1. The backgrounds where similar and they worked well together. The melody switches between the two sources starting with A Walk in the Woods and then the background is replaced with Covenant Dance. I enjoyed making this and the title is a reference to a quote from the show Red vs Blue.

This is a remix from a Midi file which is on my computer for over 15 years. After all those years it was time to do something with it. I still don't know what's the original name of this song (the MID is named Mixland).

I'd imagine this used in a dark stage of a video game, where everything goes wrong for the protagonist's group. Kind of dark, I know, especially for the holidays, but what can you do?
