"So the source I am sending to you is Haggstrom from Minecraft. I’m surprised Minecraft is not featured on here, as one it’s a hugely popular game, and two the soundtrack is actually pretty awesome. I was expecting a huge wave of remixes and remixers here, so I don’t understand. Maybe there’s a pattern or something hidden, who knows. Oh well, I guess this is the first time Minecraft is on here.
I shouldn’t have to explain Minecraft on here, it’s pretty huge. You are a stranger in the middle of nowhere and you must construct civilisation by punching blocks and crafting items. You explore caves for materials, whilst avoiding the weird creatures, as well as farm animals for food, and use wood and sand for infer-structure. Again it’s so popular I’m kind of preaching to the choir lol. It’s not the game though we talk about here, it’s the awesome OST from C418 also known as Daniel Rosenfeld. In this case it’s Haggstrom.
I picked this because it’s perfect as a winter tune (Since it plays when it snows), it’s got a nice simple melody with a calming but sort of cute feel to the sound, and also it’s not as common as the others. It’s still huge yes, but not as much as the others. It’s in the middle of the popularity scale as such. It’s got 2 parts, which both feed each other. Part one features an assortment of chimes from Kalimbas, Celestas, Vibraphones and the like, and simulates a bit of a Christmas vibe without it representing that period. There is a piano that also plays, which like the rest goes through a few key changes before we go back to C Major. The whole thing is in 7/4. The second half is the synth section, and is mostly in E minor, comprising of Delayed synths and basslines. It’s an awesome piece, that still boggles my mind now no one from OCRemix has even taken a go at remixing in. Hope you do this one justice!"

It is not necessary to use ThaSauce. You can upload the song anywhere you want, but I must have a download link. So if you use SoundCloud, don't forget to allow downloads, otherwise your song does not count as an entry or bonus mix. I will still use ThaSauce as a possible place to submit songs and upload all the songs to the ThaSauce page to have the songs at one central place.
Remixing one of the sources is enough to participate, but there's a three point bonus if both sources are remixed into one song. TheVideoGamer and Evktalo can participate by remixing the source picked by the other or remixing both in one song. If they participate they don't have a vote that counts twice.
If ThaSauce is down, please also submit the song somewhere else with a download link and post the link in the Ocremix Thread.

THIS IS THEVIDEOGAMERA ALT ACCOUNT.
I didn't want to not do the Tyrian tune, because it sounds pretty great. Kind of spooky and ominous. However i didn't end up getting the time to do a proper remix for this, because one i'm busy, and two i needed to find the right idea for it. As with a lot of things, it was basically i had no time. This track just takes the 30 seconds (Pretty short tune now that i look back), and builds up on it with new additions, including some synth string chords, a melody on a lead synth, a bassline and a techno drum beat. It's nothing too fancy, it is a little something, just so Hleet doesn't feel left out, and i can at least say i had a go with the Tyrian tune. All in all, hope you enjoy!
This Sounds More Like a Cover Than A Remix (BONUS DO NOT VOTE)

I'm not gonna make a paragraph about how good Minecraft's music is. Most of you should know by now. And if not, go read the comments on YouTube, the reviews on bandcamp, the ratings on various review sites. It's basically a soundtrack that's held in high regard from Minecraft veterans to even new players. Even those who aren't into the music, still get why the music of Minecraft done by C418 has appeal, and why people like it so much. Not only is it simple and effective at conveying emotions, C418 also understood that because the game is simple, so should the music. Hence why it's mostly a minimalism based score. Many people compare this OST to Erik Satie, and honestly that's a pretty accurate comparison. It does sound like one of Satie's piano pieces. Anyways this is getting too long, on to my remix in particular.
Well ok not really a remix. listening to this again, it sounds closer to a cover, as i haven't really diverged from the original piece. I've not even expanded upon it, as one, the music is detailed enough, that i don't feel like there would be any point in developing it without making it repetitive. Two, the music fades in and out, so it would be awkward to remove the fade out in favour of more melodies. It would be a bit too much. Three, i already had to go through at least 4 crashes to make this, and i don't want to go through that again. Adding more will probably increase any additional crashes, that i don't need. Lastly i will be likely adding more of the same sounds, therefore adding nothing of value to an already completed product. Oh well. The track itself is very much close to the original, with very little changes, besides maybe a less natural sound, and a more synth like overtone. Still though, i don't make my bonuses with quality in mind, nor with the intention for it to be voted or critiqued on, but rather it's a piece of music, that i had fun making, because that's what it is at the end of the day. A fun piece of music. All in all, i hope you enjoy!
