I've been listening to a lot of Tycho lately, so I wanted to try something in that style for this remix. This is my first time submitting to this and, unfortunately, I only found out about this compo a couple days ago, so I didn't have too much time with this. I loved Majora's Mask growing up though, so I really wanted to contribute to this.

There's this really cool percussion going on in the source tune and I love the little fills that the harp does, so I tried to base this remix off of that, and then bring in the main melody.

I went with trying something experimental, like having a story to this piece that coexists with Majora's plan with the moon . The story goes like this.

In the first section (0:00~0:35), I tried to have this eerie feeling where all hope is lost and Link waits for his demise.

The second section (0:36~1:24) is when the moon has finally touched the earth and wreaking destruction everywhere.

The third section (1:25~ End) is just the player staring at Majora laughing as the screen fades to black.

I tried some jazz Fusion with a style change near the end, as always the guitar could be better, but is not terrible. the mix and the master I tried using some different plugins to the ones I normally use.

Despite the arguably upbeat rhythm, the source tune for this round just sounded so incredibly melancholy. (I still haven't actually played Majora's Mask, so I'm not familiar with the context in which it was used during the game.)

So, for this version, I wanted to focus on that particular aspect! (Reuploaded to fix volume issues)

I don't know if there's enough/any of the source in my 'remix.' --so my goal for next time is to just really take time to get familiar with the source.

Well with one day to go, I figure I'd stoke some creative fires a bit. I very much believe in cross genre interpretation, but I really couldn't imaging doing this track as anything other than Bossa Nova or Jazz...So prove me wrong and best this with something amazing. The Silver...NAY...GOLDEN Gauntlet has been thrown down!!!
