I had no source in mind, so I started by looking for unremixed tunes from my favourite composer, Jeroen Tel. I found this upbeat funky tune from Tintin On The Moon for C64. It might not be the best source from a remixing point of view, but I hope you enjoy!"

It is not necessary to use ThaSauce. You can upload the song anywhere you want, but I must have a download link. So if you use SoundCloud, don't forget to allow downloads, otherwise your song does not count as an entry or bonus mix. I will still use ThaSauce as a possible place to submit songs and upload all the songs to the ThaSauce page to have the songs at one central place.

Tried for a sort of electro funk-ish type thing here, but with just enough reality to ground it. Got some electric piano (even a real piano in there at one point), classic synth lead, string machine, etc . . .. Honestly, this is a pretty sticking to the material take on the track. Fun source overall :)
Excellent choice OneUp, this tune is sooo groovy! I couldn't expand upon it, it's already a perfectly complete tune. I'm struggling to see what else i can add, especially for it's 4 minute runtime. The only extension i did was really...a proper fade-out ending. I really can't see what else there is to do.
In terms of music also, there is nothing to do. I can't really change it, because to me the track is already complete, i just made sure to upgrade the sounds, and emphasise more of the funk aspect, that the original is hinting at. Drums come from breakbeats (Reconstructed), and the chords/melody/bass remains intact throughout the whole thing, mostly synthesized stuff. It's what i felt was right really. I was grooving out the whole time, it's a lovely tune. Had a lot of fun with this one, hope you do too!
Fairly faithful to the source, got some piano, bass guitars, synthy pop guitar thing, bit of brass. I indulged a brief bout of space pads and choirs for a slower section. The drums are pretty much the midi's, but it sounded good enough.
The song is a beautiful composition.
That was a fun project to remix it with my own virtual instrument.
The midi provided on the link are good.
I have used other midi pattern (toontrack stuff) to remake the drum as it was too light with the midi provided. Good listening :)
