NIER and its soundtrack are incredible - it was a hidden gem last generation on consoles. Hopefully it gets a remaster of some kind. NIER: Automata is coming soon, and features the same composer. I spend countless time listening to the NieR OST, definitely much, much more than I played the game. Thanks to HoboKa for running this little compo and letting me enter. :)

Song features brand new MXL R77 Ribbon mic for the heavy guitars, acoustic guitars, and vocals. It replaced all the other mics cause it's really awesome.

This is my version of the source. First the song was long, I wanted it to be shorter, but it's still 4:27.

such a beautiful song. Almost didn't want to touch it, but I'm glad I did. Hopefully my take of the piece is satisfying.

A somewhat standard orchestral thingy. Took a little inspiration from Hiroyuki Sawano's orchestral arrangements of vocal songs.

The material was already perfect! Just added the voice part with a flute and a bass.
