Outline
Sometimes the smallest things are all it takes to keep everything together. A linchpin, small as it is, is all that keeps the wheels from falling off. And if someone doesn't understand the importance of these small, integral pieces, the whole operation can fall apart.
Today's theme is "The Pivotal Piece."
Rules
You may use any and all gear to create a song in MP3 format. Maximum song length is 6 minutes. You will have 90 minutes to create and upload your song. I had to dissect this theme, to find out the context, as pivotal has so many meanings. I decided to showcase the message of: "You can't function without X. X is the key to integrity and stability". In this case of the track, you can't have a nice loving family, without loving kids. You can't have kids without a loving mother and father, and you can't have a loving mother and father without loving children. A bit sentimental and maybe cheesy, but i was really trying to think about this in the theme's context. Anyways about the track.
What we have is a predominant guitar loop, which is repeated throughout. The guitar is chopped up into 2 parts, and we alternate between the parts as we listen. The 2nd part has more stuff in it, than the first. Whilst that is happening, we have a drumbeat that is halfway a mix between trap, pop and maybe breakbeat. It's not your typical trap beat, but it takes sounds from that style. We also have an assortment of melodies and samples that phase in and out, to add texture and colour to the guitar loop, otherwise it would be too repetitive. All in all, this is a really cool piece, that might be worth expanding upon in the future. Enjoy!
