Wow this is a beautiful take with "Moral Conflict" thar Overkillius - it has a very FFXII/Vagrant Story feel to it. It is indeed brief, yet also quite enjoyable - I'm amazed at how well you got it to sound using only free soundfonts too!!!

This was a difficult vote as both mixes were really enjoyable.


1st place - hoboka:

The mix started off pretty conservatively and at first I believed it was gonna be a straight cover. Boy, was I wrong. As soon as you began switching things up, expanding on the source and adding little wind flourishes and melodic variations, I was sold. Nice choice of instruments, complementing each other very well while keeping things close enough to the original arrangement-wise. Digging the drums as well, thunderous and cinematic. And that roaring ending chorus that kept on getting more intense as the ad-lib went on. Very well done man.


2nd place - Overkillius:

Dude, this is some straight up Masashi Hamauzu right there! Those free soundfonts pack more punch in your hands than most paid piano VSTi I've heard. This quartet definitely has got some strong presence and a copious amount of dynamics, which greatly enhance the listening experience. I wish you could have covered the entire source though, because what you've got so far made me real happy. But I understand you lost some time to experimentation, so the short length is understandable. Really do hope you finish this piece someday. Terrific piano play, sir.
