Sir Nuts - Even though you only spended a couple of hours on it, it sounds complete and finished.
Evktalo - I like how you got along with the source(s). It is short and asking for more.
Hoboka - This style really works well with the source.
Ichitootah - The song is very relaxing. The song has a good balance, all things work well together.
OneUp - Another relaxing take on this source. The middle part feels a bit empty, I like the strings/choirs on the background. Good ending.

Really strong round all around, and a very difficult choice.

Sir_NutS, though sticking very close to the source, demonstrated master of the SID chip or an emulator thereof (or something very close to it), while also modernizing the sound.

OneUp had a great soundscape, and the arrangement is more adventurous, but sometimes that adventure goes in some strange places. Almost a coin flip between 2nd and 3rd here, though.

Ichitootah had the other most "complete" mix, nothing terribly exciting but solid.

I loved where evktalo was going, but obviously this was unfinished. Backing got a little repetitive, too.

hoboka's was too MnP for my tastes, barely more than a MIDI rip with some low-quality jazz sounds.

OneUp - Has the same relaxing feel as Bob Ross's voice haha. Seriously tho, I reaally love well-produced slow chill-out mixes. Really nice effects, especially that gated, verby synth at 1:55. Lot's of nice little touches everywhere that add up to a very swag and chill arrangement - I love it!! And dat choir at 2:20~ish area :3

evktalo - I really love bizzare soundscapes and that wobble bass. Nice pitch bending on the synths, makes them feel organic in a weird way. Short and sweet does it making Flimbo Twist 3rd place - but certainly not the least.

Ichitootah - reminds me of DKC more specifically, David Wise's touch. This is tied for third honestly, but since I can't put 2 people in the same spot, I had to make a call. Sorry mang T_T

Sir_NutS - very catchy vibes here and makes me dance in my chair. I had to pick between you and OneUp - very touch pick, so I guess this fell more-so on personal preference than anything objective. Still, I can def. see this making first place with the other voters - good groove, good compo dude!

Sir_NutS - totally funky and catchy. I kept coming back for another listen 'cos I just couldn't get it outta my head

hoboka - loved the mood of this one, great take on the source

evktalo - interesting idea to transpose the melodies, worked well in the arrangement. The snippet of the Time Twist melody just left me wanting more and i would have loved to hear something built off of that going forward in the track

Here Are my short comments, in no specific order:

-Hoboka: I get the feel you were going for with this one, I think more could've been done with it though.
-OneUp: Sleepy times indeed. This is almost too soft for its own good, I liked the arrangement tho.
-Evktalo: Very interesting choice of drums, sounds weird at first but kind of gels better later. I wish you had finished it though. The FQ theme really benefited from the key change and it sounds a bit more serious but keeps the fun.
-Ichitootah: Yours and OneUp's are very similar, but I liked yours a bit more because of the more upbeat nature.

Overall seems like everyone decided to go very chill this round, except for me cuz I always go ham XD. Good job guys.

The lounge treatment from HoboKa was quite enjoyable, I definitely was smiling while listening to that.

Pearly Gates was good. Nice "sound upgrade" production while still referencing the C64 style with the super-fast arpeggiated leads & stuff. The additional lead variation writing was spot on. The short structure worked very well in my opinion, good ending as well.

Sleepy Times was great to listen to. I really like how much sense of space it has and takes it deliberately slowly.

Tempo Tales is also very chill. I especially appreciate the variation of the original material in minor key in the last third, that I thought was quite excellent, and it comes back to the original so well. I feel the hihat and clap are quite hot in the mix, could turn them down a bit.

Hoboka
I like the drums and the brass, makes it really sound like a christian hymn which was my first thought when I heard the source

Sir_NutS
Great drumwork and synths. The parts at 01:17 and 2:15-2:19 is really sweet.

evktalo
I really like that you've transposed it into minor. The part that starts at 0:33 is great, but the remix is really short and I would've liked much more focus on the existing melodies.

Ichitootah
Solid remix, I like what you added to the source, it fits well.
