DrumJ8 - The piano is a fun idea, I also like the original part around 1:00.
FreakyT - Another piano variant. A little more background sounding could have helped, but the piano itself is amazing.
Marcusg - Even though it's incomplete and short I'm happy you submitted this. This has some coal ideas which could have turned out great.
MCR - After a few pianos now a guitar. Sounds good but again it's short. I like your playing though.
Trism - This style works well. I don't like the kick very much, it's too dominant, but I like the way you sampled this together.

DrumJ8 - I like it, because it takes a different turn. Instead of aggresive sounds we get a smooth chillout piece that fits surprisingly well.
FreakyT - Emotional and touching piano cover.
MCR - Has a lot of speed metal energy and is faithful to the original while being a fresh take on the idea.

I dont have a whole lot of good feedback but:

drumj8: i enjoyed the piece, but there was a spot around 130ish, where you reused the same little melody twice, and it felt a tiny bit repetative. but overall nice vibe

trism: your lead sound seems a bit off, its rather unpleasant sounding . I dont really know how to describe, but it takes away from the experience for me. I love the percussion though, reminds me of tekken a little.

MCR - sounds pretty good and solid to me, maybe clean up the guitar part, coverish but good

FreakyT - sounds good, got messier towards the end, maybe work on dynamics, the soft parts sound good, I think some parts were unnecessarily too loud, e.g. some of the chord hits

Trism - I think it sounds pretty good, I just couldn't hear much of the source in there, got repetitive

marcusg - good start, maybe flesh out all the parts more, the last part when the timing was off was a little jarring to hear

FreakyT - Lovely arrangement here, though the transitions between sections are a little rough in some places, however that doesn't detract from this rather uplifting piece.

DrumJ8 - I like the swing of the lead piano and the strings accompanying it, drums where a little lacking though. The first tempo change didn't really do it for me, hence the 2nd place vote.

marcusg - Obviously this isn't a full song, however the part between 0:11 - 0:44 shows off some good ideas that show potential.

MCR - Good lead guitar playing, however there was little to no variation from the source's lead. Still some nice tunage though, it's always nice to hear some rock/metal in this compo :)

Drum n Burst by Trism:

This seems like it's well done! I'm not really nuts about the strange warping of the melody, though I'm guessing that's standard for DNB.

failed busrt by marcusg:

I like the first 10 seconds with that echo-y thing, but then it gets into another really warped melody, which I'm not really a huge fan of, then ends abruptly (as mentioned in the description).

How to Stop an Exploding Man by DrumJ8:

I like the nice chill sound to it during the first half, I think the instrument samples could be better though. I really like it when the horns cut in for the last section, though once again the ending seemed abrupt.

Chemical Foam by MCR:

This is my first place vote! I love the guitar part and how it interacts with the synth strings. That said, it is disappointingly short; I feel like it cuts off at the end.

Surprised by the amount of entries with pianos, but pleased!
Voting was hard, I switched the top 3 several times.

Trism:tight beats, bass a bit too distorted, would've voted higher if finished.

FreakyT: nice interpretation, although the playing was kinda sloppy.

marcusg: This would've been nice, the bass is very playful, but the melody goes off at the second half

DrumJ8: liked the interpretation a lot, the part with the fast drums was a bit too crazy though.

MCR: Loved it, but it was too much of a cover. Would've liked more interpretation.
