Timeliness excluded a number of worthy competitors, and then theme relevance did it for me. DJohn did a good job with the internal reference, but he barely squeaked out coloradoweeks for first place with his production.

Great to be able to spend 700 OHCs with everyone. Well, maybe like 650 or so but that's still a lot of OHCs.

This one was a tough one! I definitely had a tough time deciding.

DDRKirby - Once again I am blown away. This piece transported me to another world. So many layers in play, great transitions, and quite deep and varied. Awesome work!

coloradoweeks - I'm amazed you put all that together in only an hour! Sounded like it came right out of the 80's and I love it. Powerful synth leads there, and incredible vocals! Also, that MtG reference lol

DJohn - Interesting shortform piece, but I have to say I was enraptured by those ethereal vocals, reminded me of throat singing but with some mythic higher-scale notes. Hilarious break there too. My only criticism is that I wish it were longer!

Overall, great job to everyone. You all do some seriously amazing and inspiring work. Here's to 700 x 700 more OHCs in the future.

Ok before i commence with my voting, i have to say i'm a wheels guy, but only based on the fact that the wheel came first before the door, so it's been along way longer, and therefore would have had more in terms of production. Anywho.....

TheVideoGamer - Normally i would write down my entry here, including what i did, however i made a document which you can find in the OHC section of discord, not only because writing this out would take up a lot of space, i also wrote about things besides the answers. This will be a one time thing, because it gets repetitive, takes too long to plan, and can cause a bit of controversy. Really i'm just gonna vote on the other entries, and not really talk about the stuff i've done, because it detracts from the other OHC entries. Thanks for all the support anyways!

Lyra_183 - I forgot this was gonna be a debate lol. I assumed it was which was better, but i guess if were gonna go there, wheels hands down lol. No but seriously, i was pleasantly surprised at the lyrics. I know this is inspired by another song, but it felt like genuine song lyrics, and you sing so well. I'll give you this, it was actually really good, well done!

cotmm68030 - It's a good job, i did 4 entries lol, otherwise it would feel empty. Normally there's like 30 entries in these. The mallet sounds are beautiful in this, i love the sustain and reverb. This does not sound like a CotMM track at all. No seriously, it sounds like it belongs to someone else, this is different from you. The backing track is lovely, but your voice is a little masked, so it's a bit hard to tell what you're singing. Interesting how people are actually choosing, i thought it would all be based on which is true if you will. Maybe something like Dogs vs Cats would be more of a....argument/debate thing. All ramblings aside, if the voice is boosted a bit, or to be honest even removed (No offense), this would be awesome. Good job though!

Souperion - Synthy Orchestral rock les goooo. The classic Souperion sound done very well. Super into the melody, it's very nicely blended in the mix, especially for an electronic sound. Melodies were great, very nice production. Seems to me you're neutral about the whole debate heh lol. Anyways, lovely stuff, well done!

HoboKa - Wait, i've heard this from PRC 400, I'm sure of it. I'm also not sure why this is a bonus, because for me it has legibility for vote. I mean i'm glad you've said hi anyways, so i will send my greetings along your way lol.

Koekepan - Stereo panning eeee. Very nice square melodies, very chill. Is that a car door being shut? Haha. Nothing else to say, very nice and chill, lovely stuff, well done!

Barley - Thick bass sound, really digging the loose approach in this. Not structured as such, more like you're coming up with melodies on the fly, whilst singing into the mic. Your mixes are getting really better, every entry. Really digging the clean tones, it sounds like there's structure to the sounds. The ending could do with off polish personally, however i did have fun listening to this a lot. Good job!

JH Sounds - I'm starting to see a common pattern with the wheels. This sounds like The Lion Sleeps Tonight lol. Very unusual jazz like vibes. It seems like it's intentionally chorused and detuned on purpose. This is a side of JH that honestly, you should do more often, it's a lovely idea, and definately allows you to showcase your voice capabilities. Put it this way, it was wheely wheely good! Fun stuff, well done!

Arcana - Modular les gooo. Definately sounds like wheel modular. No i wheel not stop with the wheel jokes. Really liking the funky basslines created out of this weird and wonderful device, great vocal work. I am missing some percussion here, i feel the drums are the key for some good ol' techno, however it was a very fun experience. Good job!

DarkShadow - The furthest i've ever seen DarkShadow XD. Almost close to being in the middle, i'm used to you in the beginning. I can see the subtle contrast between the door and the wheel in this one, it's really nice. The bassline in this one is actually killer, it's very thick and seems like a mix of electro and dubstep. The rising chords also really make it pump like sidechain. This one is a super strong entry from you, definately worthy of the awesome category. Well done!

DDRKirby(ISQ) - People wheely seem to be leaning towards the wheel. I guess the wheel is where the heart is. This is beautiful ambient stuff, very chill and calming, beautiful pads. Then again, it's hard to find a track from you that i don't like, if not impossible. Awesome beats, really compliments the melodies and provides a thick groove that i love. It's so chill and the melodies are lovely. Incredible work!

DJohn - Cool sound manipulation here, really like how you set us up for the intro, through car noises. The pause before each pad chord, is a lovely touch, very dynamic. Really feels like were on top of the mountains, watching the cold wind, it's very chilly and the singing is awesome as always. The drum work, really switches things up, it has the makings of trap, but you've programmed it as a DnB type break. Whole thing is lovely, well done!

Coloradoweeks - New Wave les goooo :D I love these different styles in compo. Synth and drum work is pretty awesome in this. I love how your voice fits in this style, i was expecting it to clash, but no it's pretty awesome. Kind of uplifting too, these chords really fit the 80's aesthetic, this just....wheely...awesome if you catch my drift XD (The puns man....). Awesome work!

Suzumebachi - Sega Genesis latin music, but mixed in with some.....real piano? Dam this fusion is killing me lol. The melodies are lovely, that piano should be used a lot more, it's outstanding, the tone is lovely. Awesome work!

Dex - Chugg that guitar. Really digging the stop and start motion in this, it's a lovely idea. It almost reminds me of dub music for some reason. I've not heard this style of beat from you, but i love it. So chill, very much got a jazz and electronic sheen, to the whole rock experience. Lovely stuff, Awesome work!

NickC - I a door the string vibes in this, feels like it's fitting for an RPG (Yes the puns will never end, you got a problem with that?). No but seriously, the melodies are super strong in this, great flow. Mix is a little unpolished personally, the bass parts can get a bit muddy in my opinion, but i cannot deny it was a ton of fun. Good job!

Starla - Funkyyyyyyy. The dance vibes are super strong here, i really a door the vocal work, and the synths totally lend itself to the club. The drums are mixed for me. Maybe i'm used to thick EDM beats or something, but the drums here were a little too light, it could have been a bit more punchy. However i can't take away just how good the vocals are. Thought about this for so long, it was hard. In the end, i'm afraid i had to give it a good job ranking, i'm sorry. Such a shame too, the vocal and synth work was just...really something, but i didn't feel the beats. Good job though!

Xanthos - 4 minutes, les goo. Hope this takes me round in cycles lol. The kick work is super intense in a lovely way. Very thick beats, perfect subs, feels like it was meant for a car ad, but that's just me haha. No but seriously, this is lovely, the chord work really makes it chill, but the drums go against that idea lol. This sounds like a live performance kind of thing. The drums can get a bit too much for the dynamics of the chord work. Maybe for me i would use less intense drums, or beef up the chords/melodies. Everything is lovely, the idea is there, i just don't feel the weird juxtaposition if you get me. Ending is abrupt, so i assume you chopped it off a 7 min longplay. Still lovely though, it was wheely good. Good job!

Atmospherium - Interesting melody ideas, feels like it's a mix of dissonant and consonant. Polytonal if you catch my drift lol. I love the experimental nature here, feels like you went after wheels and doors for it's shape and properties, not by virtual of a debate lol. I dig this a lot, very unusual, very weird, but very well mixed and definately has a lot of cool soundscape ideas here. Honestly i'm drawn to this one, and repeat listens really grows on me. You'd think i wouldn't be able to handle it (Ok i'm starting to sound like Dad now lol, these jokes are getting too much haha), but honestly the opposite is true here, it's just a lovely weird piece. Well done!

Lenticels - First i've heard the tail at the beginning, not at the end haha. Really chill stuff, mixed with thick dubstep EDM vibes. Piano and pad sounds were lovely, very cold. Formant shifting on the vocals were super nice, really cool effect. Very short, feels like the start of something, definately has scope for expansion, however i did enjoy what i was hearing. Good job!

Misael.K - Wheely interesting drum work here, has that Misael.K swing. I a door the pad chords on this one (I will be making door and wheel jokes until i die), the synth work is super strong, very chill (Chords remind me of aquatic ambience for some reason). Loving the effects, has that metal/rock sheen to the whole thing. Very beautiful, lovely melodies, Awesome work!

InvisibleObserver - The king of sound design is here. Your sound manipulation is very unique, i don't think i often hear people go to town on these kinds of dubs and wubs, Drums are very nicely compressed, not too loud not too quiet. Really the chords at the end, really transforms it into a more melodic piece. It's very short not gonna lie, so i feel this could be expanded into something big, however besides the titbit, i couldn't really find anything wrong here, it's just a very lovely piece of sound design untz. Well done!

Top 3 - DDRKirby(ISQ), Suzumebachi, Coloradoweeks.

These entries are denied a spot on the top 3, it's so sad :(
