Christopian nailed the feel of it. Cotmm68030 was also very atmospherically appropriate. Misael.K was as well, if less literally, but very well-composed as well.

  1. Love the production and the violin!
  2. Love the atmosphere.. the reverb and the LFO synth really matched the theme imo.
  3. Maybe a little too much reverb and I would switch out the lead with a more organic instrument, but everything else feels right... like you said.

Good job everyone!

APOLOGIES FOR RUSHING THIS, I WAS CAUGHT UP IN A FEW THINGS.

@Misael.K - It's a legal loophole lol. Nobody can do a thing about it.

@DDRKirby - I wasn't thinking that at the time, but you know it sounds like it could work. Might do a remix of this someday.

@Dex - Minus the chiptune melodies.

@Coloradoweeks - That is something i've noticed, especially since we get a lot of Orchestral music and Chiptune. I'm all for it though, something different.

@Souperion - It's like Hellfiya Light. The same way there's a diet coke lol.

@Atmospherium - That was the plan lol.

@Eva - Huh, this actually seems like a better comparison than i thought.

@CotMM - I thought you said barf for a minute lol.

@Suzums - The images are pretty beautiful, even if it's probably more of a 16th century style. Apparently this is Assassins Creed concept art, who knew? Definately is uplifting. I like it.

@Arcana - Strangely, i wouldn't consider this to be my most uplifting work. Especially with the Bb flat added. A few contenders would be Rounds 638, 639, 667, 669. Then again, it's how you define it.

@CotMM - Imagine if Juno Reactor made something uplifting.....

@Dex - I do agree it's uplifting. It's quite a relaxing chilly piece.

@Wassup Thunder - Sonar is love, Sonar is life.

@CotMM - It's funny, because the preset is called Echolot. It's from Firebird. Not the best sounding, but it can provide a certain sweetener to tracks.

@Wassup Thunder - Look up Firebird.

@Arcana - No shame in using presets ;)

@Coloradoweeks - It is actually pretty groovy.

@Nukage - Or if you wanna go really old with a Sega Saturn....

@CotMM - I don't remember much about Dreamcast. I was a PlayStation kid.

@Souperion - Now there's a video game idea....

@Everyone - Thanks for the kind words!

Now then....

TheVideoGamer - This track came out of 2 ideas. A minimalistic looped piece of ambience/melodic ideas, and a soft techno idea. I was initially gonna make it pure ambient, but i was messing with drum sounds, while waiting for the round to start, and it ended up sticking with me throughout. It's a neat contrast actually. Hard beats, soft ambience. The rest is just building up from that, which mostly include simple repetitive basslines, long drawn out pad chords, bells, light percussive taps, and a more weave in and out kind of layered approach. All in all, super into this one, i love how it's fitting to the image, while still containing all of my own ideas and experiments. Hope you like it too.

DDRKirby(ISQ) - Classic DDR Chiptune. Lovely melodies as always, definately a fun listen. Can't say much it's the classic DDR sound done well. Well done!

DarkShadow - Sounds more Electro than a typical DarkShadow. Has a bit of the signature dissonance too. Liking the sounds a lot, but i'll admit it's not my favourite from you, sorry. Good job though!

Lyra_183 - That surprise at the end lol. I thought it was gonna give me a heart attack, but it was actually ok. Maybe it wasn't loud enough. Very quiet, which i assume is intentional. It's pretty funny using the lyrics from Neil Diamond in this. Good job!

Koekepan - Beautiful choir chords, this very much reminds me of the Halo ost. Th way the chords flow, the ambience, it's almost like a new theme song to that. Love how it flows, this is beautiful. Well done!

cotmm68030 - Lots of weird warbled detune, it's very interesting, very experimental. Now this is not what i think of, when i look at the image, this feels more like a factory setting, than a ice cold winter landscape, however the atmosphere and sound design was too good to ignore, so I'll give you this one. Well done!

Ethansight - Lovely melodic ideas, that bass is thick and juicy, i love it. The whole thing is seriously groovy. Took me by surprise, when you busted out the acoustic kit, and not the electronic, but it was great nonetheless, seriously strong stuff. Well done!

Souperion - Very strong melodies, big fan of that choir, works amazingly well, admittedly this is your kind of images. Don't know about the drums, for me i think this could be the strongest as a pure ambient/orchestral piece. However though it didn't take anything major away, and the melodies were seriously good. Well done!

obScene - Man your style is sooo good. It's a beautiful mix between haunting cinematic melody ideas, thick distortion, and industrial sound sources. It's amazing. I'm in love with the melodies, they just flow beautifully. So emotional too. Incredible work!

A2Z - Really digging the electro feel here, nice tight dance groove. Bit too simple for me, by the minute mark, nothing else really changes, which minimalism is good, but personally not in this context, sorry. Good job though!

Barley - Wait you can scream now? Like metal? Wow. This track has so much potential, the idea is really good, loving the effects. However personally it doesn't feel mixed, which sounds a bit harsh i'm sorry, but the vocals are masked by the guitar, and the drums are pushed to the ground, rather than locked into place. Good job though!

Misael.K - For a second i'd thought this was DDR! I was like, did he upload a second entry? But then i checked and no it isn't. DDR has done tracks with eastern instruments like this, so i was sure it was him, but it's not. Now for 4 minutes for the most part, you are playing with one sound, however it's done extremely well, the crescendos were done so seamlessly, and it's very spacious for what it is. Extremely cool and creative, Awesome work!

Atmospherium - Loving this idea, really nice blend of rock styled sounds, and synthetic swells of electro. The combination of a forward almost emotional vocal, contrasted with the heavy reverb background vocal is a lovely touch. I could say, i was hoping for a bit of a fuller beat, like a rock or techno thing, but that might just be my ears adjusting. I'll give you this, the idea was seriously creative and cool. Well done!

Wassup Thunder - Classic euro vibes as usual. You are very good at this style, loving the melodies and drums. Not much to say, it's Wassup Thunder making catchy stuff. Well done!

Nukage - This seems like a continuation from your 2hts idea. Yeah i've listen to the party, although i've yet to vote on it. Definately not a common combo, DnB and trap, but man it works super well, and the whole thing was extremely tight and groovy. Sure we have a loud waveform, but i think it just adds to the intensity. Long story short, well done!

Dex - Really liking the rock vibes in contrast to the icy piano plinks. Very much a combination of cinematic with a Metal kind of a approach. For some weird reason, i'm kind of expecting a crescendo of full guitar chugs, however that might just a dynamics thing, even if there is breakdowns throughout. I'll give you this one, because the guitar was is super strong, as always. Well done!

NickC - Lovely orchestral work from you. Really digging the strings and woodwinds. A bit of a minor one sure, but i feel it's very clustered in the melodic ideas. It don't feel the strings as much, it's almost like it's a bit too bass heavy. Shame, i love the idea, but it's more or less what my ears pick upon. Oh well, good job though!

coloradoweeks - Ok is it bad that i thought this was a Starla composition? Like it's something Starla would have made. Thing is, i don't stare at the name when listening, i leave it running while i write my notes down. The chords are incredible, the lyric writing is excellent. I mean the whole thing is super groovy and amazing. Incredible work!

Christopian - Very theme accurate, lots of lovely chord changes. It's as simple as ambient music can be, but the chords are very nicely done, and the texture changes were perfect. Honestly i'd say it's the most theme accurate of the bunch. Well done!

Eva - Not lying, this is the best track you've done to date. And honestly, i'm quite surprised at how good this is. When i first heard it, i thought it sounded nice, really creative idea, so i was already positive, but then i listen to it again, and holy crap does it sound good. Like it's such a cool idea, spacious guitar distorted to a point where it sounds like CotMM ambience, topped with a nice consistent groove. And no i'm not saying it to make you feel good or anything, i actually legit loved this. Well done!

Djhon - I really want to give it a chance, but the waveform is super quiet, and your voice is practically non-existent. Not joking, i can't even hear a single word you are saying. The guitar playing is amazing too, i really wish that would have boosted it up to the awesome category, but the other problems are too noticeable for me to do that, sorry. Good job though!

Suzumebachi - Starts off like a very nice, maybe a bit of simple emotional cinematic composition, with some lovely hints of sadness to it, but then it really takes me places....like some incredible places. Sure it sounds nice at the beginning, but when it really gets going, omg it's just soo awesome. You are such a master of harmony. I hated that it ended so early, it was incredible. Awesome work!

Arcana - Really loving that balance between synthetic and orchestral. It's very nice and spacious. Vocals are beautifully balanced, it's got a lovely atmosphere. It does sound hollow to me, i don't know if it's me, and that does affect the composition a bit, however the rest is lovely. Thought about this for a while, and i've decided to give you the awesome category. Well done!

JH Sounds - Great composition, you really write lovely lyrics. I actually don't mind the short length, it makes it feel like a Beatles style record. Nothing else to say, nice work. Well done!
