DDRKirby(ISQ)
Apologies if it seems rough, Im on mobile, and of course on Vacation. Wont be long before I get back to the PC for proper voting and music production.
@Suzums - Mine would be similar to the Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven, since the third movement in that piece is fast, just like my entry lol.
@CotMM - And maybe distorted beats
@Souperion - The house is made of HELLFIYA!
@Arcana - .And the Gabba.
@Ethansight - Getting you hyped.
@Arcana - Maybelol
@CotMM - I call this the old abandoned rave.
@Souperion - I was waiting for this to shop up lol.
@Arcana - Would this even be Happy Hardcore, it doesnt sound very happy haha.
@CotMM - Thats not really a fun fact lol, since something tragic happened to you.
@Misael.K - Oh wow there is one, and its almost exactly like in the photo.
@Suzums - Sample by The D.O.C
@Misael.K - Haha
@Nukage - Snap?
@Barley - If it is, then ow lol.
@CotMM - Oh yeah I forgot house runs at 215bpm haha. Its Gabber in its full glory.
@Suzums - Minus the Time Signature change.
@CotMM - No this is gabber.
@Misael. No this is gabber!
@Nukage - NOO, THIS IS GABBER!! Im not a Happy Hardcore. Uhh Patrick, thats the name of the genre.ok Im joking Ill see myself out.
@Nukage - We certainly dont stop in this genre.
@Misael.K - This sounds like a job for the Ghostbusters! lol
@Ethansight - The vocals? Thats The D.O.C rapping. I used a portion of his raps.
@CotMM - lol that actually works.
@Everyone - Surprised at the amount of people who thought the song was over lol.
@CotMM - its like its telling a story.
@Suzums - Full distortion, just for everyone in the room haha.
@Ethansight - Yep no stopping.
@Misael.K - When The D.O.C says Dont Stop he means business.
@Souperion - Yes, thats correct.
@Nukage - This song is the ultimate running anthem lol.
@Misael.K - Thats the British version.
@Souperion - Oh did it? My bad haha
@Misael.K - Had to actually stop it at some point, or it will be over 6 minutes.
@Everyone - I guess people didnt want it to stop lol, which indicates my track has succeeded. Thanks for the kind words anyways!
Now then
TheVideoGamer - As you can tell this is a track that goes very hard, and is also very fast. Almost on Sonic the Hedgehogs pace. The melodic ideas are very atmospheric in nature, kind of giving a mysterious vibe to it, also topped with strings. I didnt make it too complex, its mainly to weave in and out, as I wanted two main sections. The A part is the looped atmospheric melodies, the B part is the hard bass heavy acid stuff, as both a contrast and a texture shift. Everything is all grouped together by some seriously distorted hard gabber beats. Very noisy indeed. The supposed fake out ending pointed out by some people was actually unintentional, more of a coincidence. All in all, not everyones cup of tea, but I enjoyed it a lot, had a fair bit of fun with this. At least you had some interest I guess.
Lyra_183 - That specific piano loop always makes an appearance lol. Nice singing though, good job!
cotmm68030 - The master of Dark Ambient returns again lol. Extremely nice sound design and processing here, especially fond of the drums in this one, its got somewhat an industrial feel. I could ask for bigger beats, like I normally would however in this case it seems to add more to the space, than if it was loud and heavy, which would probably take away more of the good points. Anyways, well done!
Koekepan - Your tracks seem to be getting shorter and shorter, which worries me lol. Wheres me 20 minute Koekepan at? All jokes aside I do like the synthetic strings, really creates a kind of foreboding atmosphere. It is too short for this kind of genre, this kind of music needs to go for at least 4 minutes. But I do like what Im hearing, lovely stuff. Good job!
DarkShadow - I think I know now what Im getting when I listen to you lol. Good job!
Suzumebachi - Ooh this is very western sounding. Almost like a Cowboy movie, especially in an emotional part of the film. Super into the almost bit-crushed Lo-Fi effects. It gives the impression something is faulty, just like the image. The ambience is beautiful, and I love the different stylistic approaches. Awesome work. Would have loved for you to make the top 3, but I can only choose 3 :( Shame.
Souperion - Strings and Guitar, a Souperion staple. Really dig your melodies, this kind of music fits the theme perfectly. The one thing I notice with this track, is that its very repetitive, or at least I think this one is a bit too repetitive compared to others youve done, however thats the only issue i have (And honestly it doesnt make the track bad in anyway) I actually really liking the adventure feel, so good job!
Barley - I am a big fan of your style, its very much like Bedroom rock, and its great. The only thing Im afraid I dont like, and its the fact your tracks are starting to get a little too long. Again I love your tracks, but I feel it goes on for a bit, without any major developments (Mainly in dynamics, than melody writing), however that might just be me (Im trying to be as honest as I can, sorry if it might come across as abrasive). I do love the unique chord choices here, you have a very out there way in approaching harmony. Good job though!
DDRKirby(ISQ) - I love the harp counterpoint, this already sounds like a perfectly mixed DDR song. I love the downtempo beats, and the harps are lovely, very much got a bit of eastern influence. Awesome melodies as usual. Really liking the last chord before the progression loops, its just such lovely suspense. Cant say anything else, amazing production. Awesome work!
Nukage - Very interesting start, not expecting this to sound like Nukage, but when things get going it becomes more clearer. Super into the cinematic toms at the buildup. In fact the whole thing is completely left-field from you, and to be honest, its incredible. Its very Synthwavey sounding with lots of Electro EDM influences. I just love this so much, amazing vibes. Incredible work!
Dex - Real guitar vibes, you always know your instrument, huge fan of the rock stuff you do. The playing reminds me a bit of Green Day or Foo Fighters, its really well done. The lead could work better as a synth or a flute, than a distorted guitar, but its a minor one, and its not long before we go into fast head-banging territories. For all it is, Im giving you this, because the melodies were seriously dope. Well done!
Eva - I really like your voice, its so incredible unique, it stands out I love it. I feel on this one, the guitar sounds are a bit too quiet for this, its almost a background element, but the drums are super tight, and the vocals are very fitting. One of your best tracks to date, I just need maybe louder guitars. Good job though!
NickC - Not expecting Nick to go this melodic on me lol, maybe the happiest NickC track to date. Loving the plucks and piano melodies, this is beautiful stuff. Its got a bit of a mysterious feel to it. I love the blend of sounds, well done!
Arcana - Arcana styled synth chords in the place. Full on rave. Vocals are mixed perfectly here, not too loud or quiet. The drums however are very quiet, and needs to be brought up. Really the whole thing needs a bit of a touch up. (I can sense a bit of dissonance in the auto tuning, sorry) Good job though!
Ethansight - Ooh more EDM. The bass synths are lovely here. Absolutely digging the side chain this is dope. I just love the mixing and melodies here, its very tight. The drum beats and bass dont seem to last right long (Too long of a gap between each one), because when it comes in, Im vibing too hard, it just makes the whole thing. Still though it wasnt enough for me to shift it out of the awesome category, love the production. Well done!
JH Sounds - I like that you try more electronic sounding drums, I feel this is an area you should explore more. You dont often hear a electro song with this kind of groove actually, so this is cool. The chords are very well done here, keeps things interesting. Well done!
Djhon - Is that a cello? Very nice usage, sounds very real (The strings in general sound lovely)Your voice is extremely beautiful, I love it so much (Man its such a killer voice), this is extremely theme accurate. It reminds me of Halo in parts. The minimalism is very cool, its done so amazingly well. Awesome work!
Misael.K - Great piano melodies, liking the simplicity. The synths serve as really nice embellishments. Its just a very nice almost like minimalism Jazz Funk. That bass is juicy as hell, the drums are really tight. Just nicely done work. Well done!
