VG: I actually usually don't vote for cover songs/remixes, but an electro/synth arrangement of Mars is actually just way too cool not to upvote. I enjoyed this. Well done.

IO: Meow. Yes, meow. This song was cute. Fix it up release it and call it meow and become an Internet sensation.

nukage: sick production, really rich harmonics. Really cool track.

Other cool tracks:

DDRKirby, MisaelK, NickC, Elias, thesocialcontract, cotmm.

@Starla - War March lol. I think Mars is supposed to be the god of war if I'm not correct.. I don't think Holst did this from a astronomical point of view, but instead a astrological view.

@Misael.K - Uhhh...Wat?

@Arcana - Not really, a MIDI file of a classical track is really easy to find. This one was a piano transcription from MuseScore, which was super helpful, because i cannot work with 64 instrument channels. Instead i made my own orchestra haha...

@Dex - Trust me, Mars is essentially Heavy Metal for classical music nerds. It gets insane, especially in the recordings.

@Moogisham - This reminds me of a guy named Gustav Holst haha....

@Misael.K - I'm the king of weird....

@Nukage - I suppose a lot of orchestral music does lol.

@Starla - I have fun in every track haha. To be fair though, i absolutely love this piece, i've always jammed to classical music, the pop music of it's time.

@InvisibleObserver - I've yet to do the rest of the suite....

@Misael.K - Huh another Final Fantasy Reference, that's interesting....

@Nukage - A piano transcription taken from MuseScore by converting Sheet Music to MIDI. I then built my orchestra out of it. Instead of 64 instruments, which is how it's supposed to be (While accurate as such, is difficult and tedious to work with, especially since most of the channels have them in different registers, well...er...you get the idea...) I made like 15-20 synth instruments, plus drums, for my cover. It not only gives me more flexibility, it's also saves time.

@moogishman - It's actually more of a breakdown. It's such an intense composition, that this was needed, to stop it being repetitive and annoying.

@Arcana - Everyone remembers Mars for it's rhythm lol.

@moogishman - I have to, otherwise i procrastinate haha. I think it's good to have a lot, so you can work it in and out throughout.

@Arcana - I was really trying to see what a synth orchestra would sound like to be honest.

@Canamla - Pokemon? These are some very weird comparisons.

@Misael.K - I think it's the kick that puts you off, since i tried to make it more like a 4 on the floor thing, but yes it's in 5/4.

@Arcana - Just call me The Video Game Orchestra haha...

@LunacyEcho - Well i'm glad to hear that. The piece your thinking of was done back in Round 607, and it was called Jeux D'eau, which means Water Games.

@Misael.K - Mars is pretty much Metal for Classical nerds lol.

@LunacyEcho - Did you know that Mars was actually used as the basis for John William's Star Wars soundtrack? There's something to think about.

@Arcana - If this was an Orchestral performance, there would be a few cough's and sniffles haha.

@Everyone - Thanks for the kind words! Lots to get through, but as usual you guys are awesome!

Ok then....

TheVideoGamer - Yes this is a cover of Mars, The Bringer of War by Gustav Holst as part of the Planets suite. I wasn't intending to do this, i had a different track in mind, however it felt very repetitive and boring, so i switched to this. I started with a piano version ripped from MuseScore by converting it to MIDI. Once done i simply then made my own synth orchestra, since other MIDI's were doing the full orchestral arrangement. Great and all, but i cannot really work with 64 instruments, it's a bit....much. After i synthed it up, i added beats, and really just amplified the electronic side to it. I really like the work i did here.

DDRKirby(ISQ) - Really like this track, nice mixing and melodies. Definitely love the effects too, well done!

cotmm68030 - Feels like you've stretched a sound of something with reverb added. It's great don't get me wrong, especially liking the small details here and there. This one is long, but i don't feel like i've completely wasted my time. Nothing bad here, well done!

DarkShadow - Starts off pretty simple, but then i recognise the DarkShadow chords. Good job!

MoogyBlues - Great first attempt! Really liking how it flows. Very simple, i must say, needs a whole lot more, to make it awesome, but so far good job!

thesocialcontract - Man the melodies are sooo pretty! I love this so much, it's very medieval sounding. Awesome work!

canamla - I love this man, but it's too short. The atmosphere is amazing, just needs extending, it was over too quickly. Well done!

Elias56 - I think this is fine, very nice retro chips here. Great melodies and flow, all works super nicely. Maybe it needs polish sure, but good job!

Nukage - DUUUDE, this is so well mixed, and honestly very fitting to the theme, especially for it's more arty nature. The drums are so nicely compressed, incredible work!!

Starla - This is also extremely nicely done. Really digging the drums here, especially in conjunction with the chords. The vocals are a little too quiet for me, but the rest was nice. Good job!

Silverpool64 - Really liking the melodies here, especially with the drums. Some refinement is needed, as you've said, but overall i like this. Good job!

Arcana - That lead synth is well done, it works super well. The overall track is nice actually. Some notes feel a little off, and it could do with more low-end, like a more pronounced bassline, but overall good job!

Misael.K - Very low and moody, i like. Not feeling the drums for me, they were lost in the mix, and a bit out of time. However i love that whistle like melody. Good job!

Dex - Not feeling the plucky synth melody honestly, but the rest is definitely some Mosh Pit type stuff. RAAWWWKK!

InvisibleObserver - Ooh i like the drums, maybe too much lol, the melodies could be more pronounced for this kind of intense beat. Still enjoy it though, good job!

NickC - Wow that melody reminds of Sonic Heroes or something, it's soo good. Or maybe even Metroid, i don't know it's such a good melody. The whole track, especially with spacious beats was just....well done!

LunacyEcho - HOW DOES CASCADA WORK IN ROCK MUSIC. Like seriously this is just...too good. Amazing work dude!

JH Sounds - Very nice work here, your voice is still very nice. Nothing bad here, good job!
