Chickenwarlord - I like the intro. But the lead is too 'powerfull', the background samples are nice, mixing them up better should have improved the quality. There's not much variation, the samples are all the same.
V_Gasm - What a horrible bass. It kills the song. The lead is too weak to make the song. Maybe some instrument changes should have make it better.
FiremanJoe - I like the samples and there's a better balance between them. Again, there's no much variation. I like the ending.

ULTRABIOMAXIDELICIOUSTOXICMCOMGOMGLOLENT - I really liked the intro but it didn't build up to as much as I was anticipating in the middle.

Australian Idle - A solid mix if you can ignore the sometimes out-of-tune singing.

The Biotonic Scale - Aahhhh! Too much bass! Makes for uncomfortable listening on my headphones.

V_gasm's crunchy percussion wasn't exactly my style as it overpowered his lead synth. I liked some of the little scampering feel the lead had near the end.

FMJ: Your voice is mixed too low and the diction has taken a step back. Like V's mix, this too has the bass too far back in the mix. It just seems really uneven in terms of instrumentation. A little working with volumes levels would have improved this piece quite a bit.

Fj over CW simply because bad rap is one of the best genres out there (if its not overplayed). Plus, Aussie rappers, lol (sorry FJ).

I've already said that I don't like rap, but I've got some advice for FiremanJoe. Your rap is better than your singing. Stick with the rap. So, that one gets last place.

Vgasm's song sounded like it was thrown together last minute. Oh, wait a minute. It was. With the additional time extension, Vgasm could have gone back and added something, but didn't. So, that one gets second place.

The only one left is Chickenwarlord's song. Not really great, but when compared to the other two entries, it's the obvious winner.

Firstly this post is going to hold two votes - one will be my own, and the other will be from Cocaine White, who currently has problems submitting any votes here.

Firsly, CW sent their vote through Doulifee's mail server, and this is how it stood.

And now for my own vote. It's almost the same, except Chickenwarlord and V are the other way round.

My reasoning on this is that when I look at all these entries, I think of which one seems to fit the closest towards the potential of the source tune. In that case, Chickenwarlord's was the only one that sounded anything like the original song, as well as obviously having more thought and effort put in.

Sadly the same can't be said for V's and Joe's works, though I gave Joe the second place vote due to his parody work here, as well as giving back some interesting memories of the audition phases of The X Factor. :p

Overall while we had an okay PRC turnout, the quality of the entries were weak in general. I really hope that for PRC97 this quality quota will rise significantly to some extent.
