Souperion - Land Unformed ~ Pretty cool ambient tune! Could use more dynamics and detailed sound design at some points, here and there it sounds like a single loud pad. The solemn piano would also sound even better with a bit more realistic "playing" rather than every not having the same velocity. However I think it works quite well and I liked the transformation from choir + bell to a synthy ambient piece quite a lot!
hleet - Song and Dance ~ A fun track! The trumpets sound great and the percussion is good too. The piano could have more dynamic/realistic touch. Overall it sounds very good!
TVG - Jelly Pops ~ I thought this was a plausible late 90s PS1 soundtrack! A lot of fun.
Aly & Fila - It's All About The Melody (Bundeslang) ~ Loud! Could also use a bass line! I like the 'plucking' kind of sound in the middle combined with the "whining" background string.

Hleet - Nice style, doing the job well.
Souperion - Liked the orchestral sampling.
Ekvtalo - Good to see some rework on this one, nice job.
TheVideoGamer - Massive work, always fun to see those complete soundtracks.

hleet: very lively, a tight composition. That trumpet work makes me jealous XD. Good stuff, through and through.
Bundeslang: Pretty neat work. Methinks the long notes droned a bit much, a bit shrill maybe, but that's all I could complain about. Nice job.
evkatalo: Sketch or not, it's got good beats and a whimsical sound to it. Good work, I'd say!
TVG: It's hard to say enough about so much music, but you did great. Gives me nostalgia for a game that doesn't even exist.

After thinking long and hard i think Souperion should get the win. From the top yes?
Hleet - Ooh i've not heard of this source, and i like it. It's got a really nice melody and a great chord progression, it's very fun. Your track really does it justice, i love the way each melody sits nicely, it's actually a great mix. If you want my honest opinion, while i really love this, i feel a bit more dynamics could go a long way into making this awesome, i just feel it's a bit too...consistent in volume for my liking if i were to put it nicely. Also since i feel the 2nd half is a bit of a copy from the first, my opinion is sort of amplified. Good ending though. This is probably more of a nitpick. My love for the remix, could be love for the original source who knows. So i took a crack at the original source, and i was completely wrong, yours is clearly High Definition, and sounds closer to a band imitation, so everything i said before can be disregarded, it makes your piece better honestly, and even with all of my points, they're more of a minor critique, this is still awesome, well done! It was enough for you to get 2nd place. Well done!
Bundeslang - I don't think i've ever heard of a trance remix before in this compo lol. Intro is perhaps a little too long. The melodies don't really come until about 1 minute in. What i'm hearing sounds lovely, and i kind of belongs to a 90's amiga game. The lead work is unfortunately aggressive in this, and dynamics do pile up into a thick mass of noise. The original track itself is very long and works almost like a traditional trance piece, with a long intro, a filtered synth, into a climatic kind of explosion, and then the ending. In this one, we hear it more stripped down, with less instruments and a bit more of a static quarter note kind of feel. In terms of idea it's pretty great, i love the drums, and the synths are pretty great, however as you said this unfortunately means in the mist of voting, you are getting the last place wooden spoon. It still sounds lovely though, don't be discouraged. Compared to the previous work i've heard from you, this is a huge improvement, well done!
Souperion - I've never played Dark Souls, so expect a blind reaction/review lol. These are some lovely space age pads, very airy and belongs to a science fiction halo like world. I mean i usually hear orchestra from you, but this is proof that you are also capable of making some beautiful relaxing ambient music. It's got some lovely chords, and a great melody. The piano work is a lovely touch, not over bearing and adds some great atmosphere to the party. The only thing i will say is (Ignoring the quiet waveform, which is odd because it doesn't sound quiet to me lol), is maybe.....ok i'm struggling here, it's pretty amazing. I was gonna say add dynamics, more instruments to make it build up into something epic, but then i immediately backtracked because it will completely destroy the vibe. I don't know if the melodies here are deliberate or if it's apart of the original, because i will say, they are not used as often, so it could be a bit of a waste of time, but let's be honest i'm really looking for nit-picks. Still couldn't find anything wrong with this, it was soo good i picked you to win, well done!
Evktalo - Hey this was one of my earliest remixes i did! It's nice to see it reappear all these years lol. The drum work in this is super funky, reminds me of James Brown styled drumming. The melody is super funky too, it's pretty vibrant. The only thing i will say it's trying to do polyphony, yet it's an mono instrument. Sometimes i can hear glides that are pretty violent, and can ruin a bit of the melody if i have to be honest. This track is clearly a WIP, as evident by your description, however it is nice to build upon a track, and have been comment on it, i like that. Even with my shortcomings, your on to a lovely sounding track, just keep at it, you are doing great! I picked you for the 3rd spot. Well done!
