Wassup Thunder: I like how you include watery type sound effects like the sonar. I like how you used some of the sfx to transition. Pretty much fun to listen to this.
TheVodouQueen: I like this remix in this genre. I like some of the rhythms and adlibs in this piece. Only thing I didn't like was the sax
Souperion - This was very chill and atmospheric. I like the piano. Some parts might of lost me a bit in the middle.

Great entries all around. very fun round to listen to.
Souperion gets my 1st vote. The near space-ambience vibe put the source's chords to good use, long and sweeping pads. The punctuacting pulse synths (that's not a term, but I'm making it up) accents each new chord nicely. Love the piano arpeggios. It's soft, lovely, and cosmic. A great spin on the original.
TheVodouQueen gets my 2nd vote. A really neat approach to sprinkle in all those references. The sounds and voice lines worked quite nicely with the backdrop of the bass and chords. gives it a story-telling narrative in a way. The composition has a smooth, chill vibe. Love the percussion line. And that saxaphone-sounding-thing is a great lead!
Marcusg gets my 3rd vote. Got a real nice rhythm line. The lo-fi piano is a great element, gives it a classy record feel. The gentle synths waft in, fleshing it out nicely. You were onto a great start, nice entry!

VodouQueen: very smooth and groovy.
Wassup Thunder: Loved the little touches in this one: the slides, little record slides, and bits of sfx to punctuate.
marcusg: pretty jamming with satisfyingly hefty percussion, even if incomplete. Keep at it!

1) 'Need that Spreader Gun' - Wassup Thunder
Pros:
* The percussion is extremely nice, and so is the synth. Going the route of a sort of tropical feel with the steel drums and light guitar percs really suited this tune, and gave it some deeper intricacies than the original.
* The submarine sonar was an excellent touch to spice up the track.
* You made the composition feel like a remaster to the original, rather than a simple "remix", which was real cool. I could imagine this piece being on a PS2 port of the game, if they rebuilt it and graphically updated Battle Garegga. :D
Critique:
* Wasn't feeling the DJ scratches / breakbeat bits in the song (more apparent @ 4:00 and onwards till the end.) I think they detracted from your remix rather than added any more to the already slick steel drums and tropical percussion.
* I think the final two sonar blips should've been pared down to just the one @ 4:27. IDK, it just sounds better in my head that way.
* My only other nitpick is that I wish the bass was a bit more robust than in its current iteration in the song. Not all the way through, but perhaps midway in before or after the slowdown, the bass could be a bit thumpy before smoothing out to round off back to how it is in the beginning and end of the song. Otherwise, great work!
2) 'Subyssal Drift' - Souperion
Pros:
* Oooo, spacey. <3
* Reminds me of a mixture of Ocarina of Time's 'Water Temple' theme and Chrono Trigger's 'Secret of the Forest' song. Very pretty, mystical-sounding, and kind of throws one into a dual state of both reminisicing and meditation. Very nice. :)
* Every time I listen to it, I pick out more and more positive things from the piece, little tidbits I might've missed in previous run-throughs, and that's fantastic. You've added so much nuance in instrumentation in this one. Love it.
Critique:
* Yes--this could've used a bit more bass. :) Maybe at the very least just to give the composition a bit more dynamism and play around with the listener, turning the mysticism and wonder of this spatial piece to more sinister vibes, even if briefly.
* For some reason, at certain points (e.g. 3:30), I felt like this piece could've used some atmospheric electric guitar riffs, with some good use of the whammy bar. IDK why, I just had that itch as I reviewed your remix over and over again.
* Song kind of felt like it abruptly ended, for me anyways. Unsure if that was intended or not. D: Otherwise, this is an extremely lovely song, as per usual. ^^
3) 'Underwater Ramp (WIP)' - MarcusG
Pros:
* Your original intent of Breakbeat kind of veered more into Jazz Fusion sound of 'Jupiter Jazz'. What you've got so far is promising. :)
* Also has a bit of a EuroDance/Pop-vibe to it. I like it. :D
* The weird arp warble is pretty cool, too.
Critique:
* The piano for the main melody sounds like it's dragging a little bit. Unsure if that was intentional or not, but I know this is a WIP, so there's not a whole lot going with the melody yet to support it.
* Wasn't a huge fan of the drumstick clicks as part of the percussion... But the percs were great! Maybe the use of claps or tambs rather than stick clicks would do better... Hmm.
* Good start!--hope to get to hear it when it's complete. :)
--BONUS--
+ 'Underwater Rampage Raver' - TheVideoGamer
Pros:
* The speed up for the song made the composition feel like it was meant for a racing game, especially with the way you arranged the midground arp and the pacing. It was really cool to listen to. Made me feel like I was playing Wipeout or some other anti-grav racing game. I'm unsure if that was an underlying intent for this, but it was very jazzy and one hell of a catchy, wild ride.
Critique:
* It is really long, but I understand you were doing some experimentation in this piece. I don't have a lot to add to something that's already pretty neat and in your wheelhouse, but I can say my most favourite section is 1:10 - 6:15 and my least favourite is 6:25 onwards. I say that because by that stage I think that the song had reached its peak potential--not much more could add to its dynamism or fluidity. If between 6:25 to 7:30 was cut out to shave off some time, the piece wouldn't lose out without it. There's probably other sections akin to that that could be plucked out (except for the slowdown ending), but I think the composition would be substantially benefited to be cut by about 2-3 minutes of content--kind of like the difference between a radio edit and an extended cut, I suppose. :) I also really liked the transition @ 4:10 or so.
