Bundeslang - Some good 'ol fashioned trance! Love the minimalistic build-up before the track kicks into high-gear. Some great use of synths on the main melody throughout, however the bass is a bit lacklustre in first part of the track. When the drums come in there's some distortion, but overall this is very enjoyable.

SethSkoda - I would have never have thought to make this source a trap tune! It feels at times that some parts of the track playing in a minor key but the lead is playing in major over the top of it, there's certainly a disconnect in there somewhere. I like the arrangement though, for the most part. It gets very busy at times and some of the harmonies clash with each other, particularly around 1:18.

HoboKa - So much emotion! Pain! Joy! Existential dread! I've never known an artist pour so much of themselves into such a small amount of time, I was openly weeping by the end. The only reason I'm not giving this first place is because that score is far too low for such a work of art.

PlanarianHugger - A nice, chill lo-fi-ish remix. I'm not familiar with the source so can't critique the arrangement, but this is a really nice wintery track. There's some good variation throughout and nothing feels repetative or stagnant.

TheVideoGamer - Another Christmassy themed remix! Well to begin with anyway, this is certainly a track of multiple parts. I don't know the source tunes, so I can't comment on the arrangement of each piece, but this is essentially 4 different songs in one file; it would have been nice to have a transition between each section to make it one big megamix. The tracks themselves are good though, and as a whole it's all well mixed and produced.

Silverpool64 - This certainly is well mixed and mastered, no doubt there. However there's no arrangement to speak of, the song plays out pretty much as the source does. The leads and basses used are well executed though and they enhance the track nicely.

Trism, really rockin' remix there. This is an awesome meddley. Awesome solo in the middle.

TVG, another awesome meddley. I didn't know if you deserved top spot though, it was a tough choice.

SethSkoda - Another pretty good trap remix. The reverby drums are a nice icy touch. The detuned bit after midway was sort of a turn off. My monstrous hardness waned.

PlanarianHugger - Pretty good. I felt the others presented something more interesting though. The brassy pads are real cool.

SilverPool64 - mah boi. This is definate improvement. Also, is the B section re-written a bit? Doesn't sound the same melody wise, irrc. It jives well.

Aqua Bit Ruins doesn't bring anything new to the table, but the sound choices were spot on. Especially when it moves up into the high part of the music. That arpeggio just sealed the deal for me. I very much enjoyed this, though I will say that the bass should not be in stereo. Keep it monaural if you want it to really pump.

And Trism... I'm a sucker for metal. I love and adore metal pieces. Why didn't you get my number one vote? It wasn't the track length. For one, you should have taken just a little more time to record more than guitar tracks. I would have loved hearing stereo panned guitars. You did a great job with the source melodies, but I still prefer a solo in a VGMetal mix. Work some more on this, I see potential for a posted ReMix.

TheVideoGamer's very long piece. Pleasing textures, clean mixing. Bass is spot on, no muddiness at all. My only real complaint here is that there is no real transition between sections. It's as if you simply made multiple tracks and are playing them one after the other. This could have ranked higher if the different parts didn't come across as an EP instead of a single piece.

Ok haven't done one of these in a while. 7 entries! I've never seen so many. Maximum we get usually is 2-3. Oh well let's get into to it.

Trism is my choice to win!

Bundeslang - Great remix of Sky Sanctuary. Nice choice of synth sounds, and really simple use of melodic elements. I could recognise the source easily. The main problem, is what a lot of tracks of yours tend to to. It's over-compressed and clips badly. Also your remixing a source from 3/4 to 4/4, which i find odd, as the original is in 4/4 anyways. Maybe it was the MIDI you used, who knows. Apart from that though, you nailed the trance vibe. Jumping up and down with mah glowsticks. Just needs that touch of mixing nuance to make it perfect. Still though well done!

SethSkoda - Very christmasy, but also very much thug-like. Sonic the Thughog lol. Drums were nice for the trap style, and i enjoyed the range of Christmas sounds, like Tubular Bells and brass, as well as a sleigh bell. For me, while everything is nice, the mix is a bit on the intense side, and the melody gets a bit too much for me. Apart from that though, i really enjoyed the composition, it was lovely. Everything seemed to work really well. Again it was the mix. Still though, don't let that get you down, you did a really good job on this!

HoboKa - Points for effort. Deductions because of Pingas....

PlanarianHugger - Really like this entry. Great choice of synth sounds, really enhanced it's atmospheric mood. Wish the drums could be more louder, and maybe more intense. The drums were slotted in the background minding it's own business. Aside from that however, the synth sounds were really good. I also like the structure too, it didn't feel boring or constrained. You managed to maintain my interest for it's duration. To be honest, the problem i have is the weak drums. Everything else is fine. Good job though!

Trism - DAAAM, this is some sick metal! It felt realistic, and really had a lovely tight punch to it! It really did feel like some actually realistic metal. I got a knack out of the climatic ending, where it builds up into some loud and intense, before it finished. Point being, it's a solid metal remix. I felt the drums were a bit MIDI, if i were to point out some flaws, but they worked well. What i mean by MIDI, is that they weren't real drums. You didn't have a drummer on board. If you did though, then forget what i said lol. I suspected it was fake, because of the sudden dynamic changes that happened, which wouldn't come naturally from playing. Guitar was real though. At this point, i'm really just nitpicking. I picked you to win, because it was indeed, some sick metal. Well done man!

Silverpool64 - Those mixing lessons really paid off! The mix was lovely and dynamic, and really suited to the source. The drums were great, and the synth melody was incredible. Not keen on the bass personally, it felt a little too growly, rather than...er...bassy. Also kind of wish it could be longer, it's only a minute. But i suppose the source it's self only lasts 30-40 seconds before it loops. The mix and composition in itself though was nice, and you really showcased some great synth sounds! Well done dude, really enjoyed this!

HoboKa - Funny effects in combination with the source. The ending is dark and spooky.
PlanarianHugger - Very relaxing song, it's really a chilling take. The song has a nice balance.
SethSkoda - Liked the kick in combination with the samples. It's almost that time of the year (christmas), this song is really a nice 'for desert' (don't know if this is a real word in the English language, in Dutch we call it 'voortoetje') for the christmas season. Nice end.
Trism - This song rocks. Liked the variation in it. Nice quality.
Silverpool - There's a lot of energy in this song, but still the song is 'relaxing'. Nice work.
TheVideoGamer - A long song (multiple songs in different styles), but again you managed to make it interesting for the full length.
Bundeslang - Again some issues in it, probably the spoon is yours.

PlanarianHugger: I love this ReMix and I love the source! The sounds were amazing as well! Everything is just AWESOME!

bundeslang: Very tough choice between you and PlanarianHugger, but I felt like PlanarianHugger's ReMix "went more places".

Trism: There are no synthesizers (I think), automatic last place vote. :) In all seriousness, I felt like this is a pretty good ReMix, especially of two sources, but the way you changed between them was a little abrupt for me. Those guitars are pretty cool, though! Did you play them yourself, or did you "midi" them?

TheVideoGamer: I liked how you incorporated different styles into your ReMix, but it felt like different chunks rather than one consistent song.

SethSkoda: Nice job on incorporating the holiday spirit!

hoboka: I actually like this ReMix, but I felt like the ending made it hard to give you a vote.

Great to see so many entries! and SANIC!
