TheVideoGamer - oof those crash samples. T_T The mix overall isn't as good as your other ones imo. Did you just pull a do-it-by-the-numbers me??

Let's get into it. For this one, HoboKa is my choice of win.
Hoboka - The main reason i picked you, is because i could recognise the source material quickly and easily, and i like the airy sound it gives off. The only problem, is the snare is way too quiet, and the choir sound takes up a lot of room. But the articulations in the flutes and strings are pretty awesome. I like how it doesn't need anything fancy to create a solid arrangement. You didn't loop it, so it's pretty short, but the choice of sounds, and recognisable simplicity is what sort of sold me over, that and of course the articulations in the flutes. I just love that. Well done dude!
NinjaPenguinDan - I picked you 2nd, largely because it took me nearly 10 listens to find the source material in there. Even now, when listening i cannot really find a single ounce of melody or feel from the original, it's almost like an original composition on it's own. The plus side is though, the original elements shine, and if we were to disregard the source for a second, the mix is concise and clear, and the stylistic changes were pretty great. On it's own, it's a lovely tune, with a nice dark urban electronic edge, mixed with a cinematic orchestra feel, something i really enjoyed. As a remix of the source though....it's almost non existent. There's a thing called originality, and a thing called rework. If you rework it, there's more of a chance that the melody and harmony will come through, yet because it's mostly original, i was finding it difficult to call it a remix, because of how different it sounds, the lack of the melodic elements (From the source material), ended it, as 2nd. Still though, i really enjoyed the track. Take something positive out of that. Good job!

HoboKa - Liked the 'choirs'. It's short but I like what's there.
NinjaPenguinDan - Good to have you back (it was 49 rounds ago). This song would fit well in a movie introduction or something like that. The source isn't in a very promintent role (maybe I just missed it), but it's an interesting take. The end doesn't have the energy of the intro.
It was a very hard vote.

As for hoboka's and TVG's remixes, they were pretty similar, sticking close to the source material. TVG's mix was clearer but also sounded more midi. TVG's bass was satisfying to me.

TheVideoGamer: check the bells at 0:19, since they sound a little distorted on my end and I don't think it's my headphones. the lead synth which comes in at 0:24 is too quiet. Additionally, I'm not altogether convinced that the retro square synth fits with the other instrument choices, but pulling it back in the mix might help since it's sort of drowning everything else out. Lastly, the ending is a little sudden. Writing a longer ending may help with that issue.
HoboKa: check the timing in the percussion starting at around 0:58. The timing on beat 2 sometimes sounds like it comes in too early. Good instrumentation choices in general, though I'd recommend adding some staccato samples if you can find any, in order to help make it sound more realistic. Also, everything sounds like it's the same volume throughout the piece, which you could consider varying if you want to spice things up a little.
NinjaPenguinDan: 2/10, not nearly enough cowbell.
