TheVideoGamer - Liked this one a lot, it's a catchy song.
Dex - A more rocking version of the source. It's full of energy, great bassline.
HoboKa - Nice calming intro. The vocals are working nicely. Very complete song, there's much variation.

Heh, if I was participating I'd still lose. Really GOOD drive and great support stuff, like the brass stabs. There is actual reinterpretation so Dex wins by default there. But seriously, the production is cool. Kinda reminds me of Smash Bro's for some reason. I usually buff first too lol. Going in dry is a fool's errand.

TheVideoGamer - that lead is flimsy mew hew; rest is good - surprisingly accurate waooo pads. I get it, you wanted to slap something in so I wouldn't be lonely. Or to get pick for next round, but the thought is appreciated. Same thing for the re-interpretation, some tunes call for it, but I didn't feel the call either. Sometimes a plain old cover is good enough.

Feedback:

hoboka: Very nice intro and good variations throughout. Nice satisfying bass and added instruments. There's a loud very high pitched resonance at the beginning and end parts, though. It's more prominent at the end. Also, I'm not a big fan of the sudden tempo increase at the beginning. There's got to be a good way to do tempo changes for pieces like this that demand them, but I haven't figured out what it is yet. The change back to the intro theme 2/3 of the way through is fine.

TVG: Nice simple hi-fi cover of the tune. Very clear mix. For as close as you stuck to the source it would have been nice if you'd kept the swells. (I know, I didn't keep them either.)
