Dex - Nice style, really liked the introduction. The strings are amazing.
Silverpool - The drums & bass are working good together. The song could have just more variation, but I like what's there. Nice ending.
TheVideoGamer - This combination with the strings and drums & bass (including those 'kick effects' which I really liked) is great. Liked the speed-up of the drums around 2:30 en the part of silence after that. Even tough it's +5 min, the song keeps interesting.

This is one of those hard sources where it's difficult to be better than the original track.

TVG - I love that big hit, and I'm glad you didn't overuse it. Nice blend of sounds. Pretty chill remix. Drums are a bit boring. A little plate reverb and some velocity differences on the snare would be nice (I know you do this at one point), and I'd prefer the hat not be panned so hard left. Also I think it would sound better to have the bass drum hit at the same time as the hard crash cymbal hits. (That's how a human drummer would play it.)

Silverpool - Good choice of sounds. They mix well frequency-wise. I feel that the mix is pretty dry overall. Some reverb or delays on some elements would help things stand out more from each other. I dislike the parts where you slowly increase the tempo. Consider other ways of building excitement, like risers, cymbal swells, and drum fills. Good ending.

Only 2 entries, but why not. Give my 2 cents in, (Even though i'm British)

Both were really solid takes on the source, however in this one, i had to go with Dex. Let's start from the top.

Silverpool - Definitely sensed how well equipped you are with Sonic music, as not only your entry showcased your unique blend of sounds, but also i had a more upbeat feeling overall. The track itself is very atmospheric and definitely soothing, yet with this entry, it's more, well....dancy. The soft chopped up beats have been replaced with something more straight forward, and the lack of orchestral elements almost, make it futuristic, like a science-fiction setting. This is a great way to not only enhance something without every changing it, but it also means that you are not reliant on anything. Pretty much you've proved you can make it your own. However while i enjoyed, i unfortunately had problems. I didn't like the drums. Kick was great, but snare was weak. It was simply, a white noise hit. Again in context of what your aiming for, it can be great, but it needed more punch, more drive. Also i feel a lot of timbrel similarities. Again it could be style, but branch out a bit more, maybe add a bass. This could do with a bass. Mixing wise was great, nothing wrong there, it just feels empty for me. Still though, don't let the bad bits get you down, you did a great job!

Dex - Silverpool went for something futuristic, while you went the opposite direction for something natural. The synths are there, so it's not pure acoustic, but you decided to make it more like a film cue. Big epic drums serve as the framework for something action packed, where the original simply used a drum and bass break chopped up. You kept the melody in tact, and showcased it as the forefront, you really wanted it to showcase punch, and punch it is. The drums were really punchy, and probably the best bit about this remix. Then the rock guitars came in halfway, and added more intensity to the atmospheric track. The inclusion of strings also took away some of the pads, to alter it from electronic to...well rock. It's definitely showcases a lovely stylistic approach. The only problem, and really the main problem, is the mixing. As much as i hate to say it, i did not like it. The strings ate over 60 percent of the mix, only leaving little headroom for the rest. Because of this, the only real break happens within the drums fill. Honestly the second half was better, not only did the rock suit you, it also prevented the strings from becoming a main element as in the original, the piano melody is the forefront, the focus. Also because it's so short, a lot of really cool ideas get lost. Honestly though, length wise didn't bug me, because this was made in a short period of time, and like i said, the guitars and drums were amazing, i just had a slight problem with mixing. Still though, you did something right, to earn the winners position. Again well done, you did a great job!

I love both of these ReMixes! After submitting my ReMix, I listened to TheVideoGamer's and my jaw dropped in amazement, but I liked Dex's a little better, especially the horn/violin sound, that is really cool. I just wish it was longer. Also, I wasn't a fan of the panning on the hi-hats in TheVideoGamer's entry, but that's just my opinion.
