PH - reminds me a bit of Capcom's "Demon's Crest" weirdly enough. Love the minimalistic approach and the grooving bass. The lack of drums didn't detract imo, for some reason OCR has a HUGE hard-on for always using percussion in strictly non-orchestral or like-thereof genres. And also points for using both sources. Nice touch-ups with the time signature - "Speedy Thing Goes In, Frozen Thing Comes Out" is.... "deceptively" (the Ice-Boss's name from Actraiser 2), intricate, whilst certainly not the flashiest take. Nice work!

2. Dex - Nice piano interpretation, nice crisp sound. Especially liked the flairs of the faster notes...don't know the theory terms thereof. Definately has a Sonata feel to it - well done Dex.

3. Really love the 32-bit feel to this - great nostalgic VG feel here. The vox choir is cool, but a bit overpowering on the E/Q I think. Nice nuances all around.

Dex - Great approach to remixing this source, it fits it well. A solo piano piece is a great stylistic choice but with that comes the issues with the remix. It sounds too robotic. Vary the note lengths and velocities to make it more natural sounding. Also make sure your bass notes aren't to close together because if they are then it sounds muddy in the low end and I think I heard some of that in this.

AxLR - Personal I like more change in my remixes but that differs person to person. I like the multiple instruments in this but I also have issues with them as well. Some of them just don't sound good together. For example, the bass part at the beginning and the choir that is a bass at about 0:50 or the high part at 1:10. Over all the instruments clash together and it just sounds muddled. Keep working on it and you'll get better.

AxLR - The choirs work well, there's a lot of stuff in this song. At some points a bit noisy, for example in the beginning, but I liked the last part.
Dex - Nice piano. This song is short but I like the combination of stuff you used.
PlanarianHugger - Great choice to use both sources, you get the bonus but maybe you don't need it. Nice job, everything fits well together and I like the way you used the sources.

I really enjoyed both of those remixes, they were astonishingly creative, which makes me feel uncomfortable and not worthy of the first place at all.

It was quite hard to decide which was the best but PlanarianHunger did both musics and props for that because it was really tricky to make them fit together, plus that chilly 80's vibe was THE atmosphere to aim with those two songs.

Dex really had an amazing idea of giving Portal To Open Grounds a Beethoven feeling because it felt good with the style of the music. Plus his performance was really good. But In terms of creativity, he was a little bit behind. Mostly because PlanarianHunger could throw back his remix into the game without it feeling off.

Both did really well and I'm quite glad to have them facing me, It made me grow a lot, and I honestly lost confidence in front of their song, but that's okay, It was really good.

So yeah, you got my reasoning.

AxLR - I thought the tempo adjustments you introduced worked nicely, but the arrangement seemed unchanged and the instrument choices didn't add much.

PlanarianHugger - I like your new less electronic style! I thought the piece flowed well and no part of it stood out as unwelcome. To me the bass line was a little repetitive though - maybe try humanizing the velocities or mixing up the articulations on it. Also I think you could use some more high frequency content in your mix (EQ balance).
