supercoolmike added something from his own kitchen to the track which makes it a pleasant track to listen to...

Although gercr gave the track an original twist in style, my taste goes more to the modern sounds instead of the chip tune style. Nice swing going on in it nevertheless.

Jorito - It sound like you have been working on this for a long time. Great bonus track.
Gercr - I didn't like the not variating drums in the background (which really make it an old videogame song), but I liked the other samples and the combination in which they are used.
Meits - The strings in the background are great. I also like the way you variated the samples with the parts of the source, it really works very nice.
Supercoolmike - Great introduction. There's much variation in the song.

supercoolmike: cool intro, reminds me of the intro of the game somehow (mostly the slow violin chords). Also like how you re-use the arpeggio from the original. Takes a while for the song to get to the meat of the remix though. The transition at 1:17 feels weird, but the part after that is recognizable for me and sounds cool. The improv around 2:45-3:34 feels like it's not going anywhere, with a weird transition again at 3:19.

Good to hear you use something else than orchestral instruments too, it worked well with this source. And kudos for doing lots of interpretation work and giving the song a fresh spin!

Meits: love the intro *chirp chirp*. The drums feel a bit too repetitive (but makes sense giving the limitations of your setup) and the intro lead suffers from reverb overkill.
Great to hear you play live bass here! Some nice twists and variations here that add to the original, and it's clear you didn't use my MIDI but transcribed it yourself. Too bad the later loops feel a bit repetitive and don't add anything new.

Kudos to you too for the live bass playing and the guts to use a very spartan and archaic way of composing.

gercr: actually a surprising entry that is quite far from your usual style. I like the swing feel you give to it and the laid back melody instrument really does it. Has a nice bluesy vibe to it and I in general like the choice of instruments, only the drums don't do it for me. Too bad it's rather short, I wasn't finished listening yet when it ended :)

Kudos to you for a brave new style choice that you pulled off well and gives the song a fresh spin!

Jorito: wow, that's quite a mess of unconnected stuff you have there! Really needs a lot of work to make it flow. Your lamest song ever, with ideas floating all over the place. Shame on you!

Four nice full-length entries, this turned PRC turned out good again! No elaborate comments from me this time…

supercoolmike — I like it! Chilling out… :)

Meits — Nice bassin’ man. I can only give one 1st place vote unfortunately.

gercr — Good arrangement, too bad the lead doesn’t follow the swing of the drums.

Jorito — As I said on IRC: not too shabby! :) Nice nice.

Jorito - even if u couldn't participate, thx for making a bonus. I like how aggressive the song is and pretty much every thing u thought of to make it, kikass guitar also.

Meits - the process sounds like it was a pain in the ass to put it all together, but it was still interesting to hear. My only complaint with this song is that some parts are a lil too quiet.

Gercr - interesting take to go for the 8/16 bits. I'm assuming that u didn't want to put the 8/16bit sounds in there by reading ur description, but mixing those sounds with the song u originally had plan could be great. keep it up!
