Darkbrandflake11 - This is an unusual style, but I like it. The song has good variation and uses the source very well.
Drum J8 - I like the used samples, especially the last part was really nice.
Esperado - Excellent built-ups in the song, there's much in it. Very catchy. Only con is the cut-off ending.
Evktalo - The song misses some variation for its length, but is done very well in combination with the source.
Zerothemaster - The song is noisy, but the source is very recognizable, which I like for this setting.

I like the mix of sources, good that most of you picked sources from pretty recent PRC's. I wanna thank everyone for the participation and hope to see you all around for the upcoming rounds as well.

The Epic of Skops: Nice soundscape and arrangement, but the samples were pretty bad. The strings were OK, the pizzicato and drums were great, but everything else was really low-quality and just made the ones that -were- good sound weird.

Black Widow: Repetitive. There just isn't anything there that holds my interest. It feels like there's a whole lead section missing. Weak soundscape, lacking mainly in lows.

Liberation of Dollet: Good soundscape, mostly good instruments (nice bagpipe!), though it gets a little weak at around the minute mark and again as it nears the end. Arrangement stays interesting throughout.

Misc. Robotics: Not a big fan of that dirty drum. Steady is right... the melody changes around a lot, but because everything else stays so stable, it's hard to stay interested for the whole piece. Not repetitive but acoustically monotonous.

Our Final Frontier: Mostly just a re-instrumentation of the source, but you've still made a lot of improvement over your early days. Melody is at least clean and recognizable, and while I'm not thrilled with the synth choices, they're not horrible and there are no sour notes I can detect in a couple of listens.

the only advice i remember from voting before was that evktalo should unbury the leads and youd have a solid, upbeat track

Really tough vote, I pretty much enjoyed every submission! I'm unfortunately ignoring source usage in my vote.

Our Final Frontier - very cool ambient tune! Good combination of sounds, not the most obvious collection I thought. The only thing I'd suggest would be about the lead that first plays at

The Epic of Skops - strong orchestral arrangement. The surprising synth sounds work really really well! Good use of percussion too, not just the boomy kettles but also the brush snares and quieter things like that. The structure is also very complete! Maybe I'd have liked, when the final section starts, that it would've communicated the fact that it was going towards the conclusion. The final, final ending is good! But the bit before that (3:45-4:26) feels like "just" a repeat of a previous section. One idea I got was maybe accelerating the tempo subtly during that might work.

Libration of Dollet - the bass is overpowering in the first half mixing wise, but the heavy bass & the shift to electronic beat works really well. I love how the bass drops out in the beginning of the last section! Lots of changes throughout, but seems decently together. Also seems to cut off at the end, too bad.

Black Widow - oo, nice 5/4 groove. The least polished sequencing/production of these tunes, but lots of fun nonetheless.

Either DrumJ8 or esperado really changed up the source rhythmically, cool!

Tough vote like I said, on another day my vote might end up different. Great work everyone!

With the addition of Misc. Robotics and Our Final Frontier, voting is a little more difficult to place. Misc. Robotics has a great sound and the arrangement fits the kind of edgy feeling the source contained. Our Final Frontier was a great ambient piece almost containing the feeling and style of the beginning of Link to the Past. However, Black Widow has to come out first, not only in arrangement, but also in production. To start with, Black Widow is very well structured. It starts out smooth and punchy, builds intensity, and when the intensity is built enough there is a break with synth, bass doubling, and drum soloing. The instruments all make the mix very cohesive, the drums almost never sound the same, and the bass very well stands out without standing out too much. The cymbal accents with ambiance keeps the mix from becoming drawn out and moves the mix to different sections in a very smooth manner. Black Widow remains fresh throughout the whole of the remix.

All of the mixes were great, they are all very enjoyable.

Voting was hard! Maybe it was because everyone's source was different but still .. nice work everyone :D

darkbrandflake11 - It sounds like you put a lot of time and effort into making the track sound really clean and natural. Nice work.

Zerothemaster - Conservative remix but overall it's a solid arrangement and it sounds good.

esperado - I like the arrangement more than production. I think the drums could sound a lot thicker and punchier @ 1:50 if you experimented with layering your drums.

evktalo - It sounds good but felt repetitive .. like I said though, the voting was hard .!
