Chroxic - Very easy and funny song. It's short, but not a waste of time for sure.
DjMokram - Good work again, maybe you are the first one (I guess) who wins three PRC's in a row. I thought the song ended already at 2:15, but there was a small exention of the song, the ending.
Evktalo - Another 1:46 song. I like this one, good synths and bassline. The song misses an ending.
Zerothemaster - Funny start, the drums are noisy at the start. Nice speed-up around 0:55. The song really becomes interesting at that point.

Why is it that Mokram can make a better song than me in 2hours when I take three days? ;_;

alas and alack

Anywho, I really liked DjM's mix. It's really fun and funky.

I also loved the ideas on evk's track, but that metallic stab-thing just got on my nerves because it's so atonal.

Chrox: FRICKIN RAVE PARTAY. that's all. it just ends too early :P

Eh, chroxic's was the only one that didn't do it for me. Everyone else's was nice to listen to and well done.

I'm happy knowing that 2 of these people are on my Cid project. :3

Round #210

Wish there were more remixes of 'Dessert Factory', but it was a cool round nonetheless.

--------------------------

1st place - evktalo:
Big thanks for choosing to remix this one Eino. :)
Luv the stylistic/genre choice, it's a great fit for this fun source.
There's definitely a clear sense of progression and intricacy/attention to detail in the construction.
Sick bass, nice use of arpeggio/sequences and clever mix of ambient textures with percussive elements.
Short but very sweet. A clear WIN for me.

2nd place - chroxic:
It takes quite a visionary to arrange a melodic source like 'Mantra' in hardstyle/speedcore.
I liked how it started picking up speed, then suddenly went from happy hardstyle to full force speedcore with characteristic freq saturation.
Despite its length, it was a bold choice so kudo for that.

3rd place - Zerothemaster:
This one was killed in the egg due to an omnipresent dissonance from 0:43 to 1:36 in the background (crystal pad?).
It's too bad, because the cool chiptune intro and slick ending from 1:47 had me thinking this could have been so much more...

See y'all next time! ^_^

Quick vote this time.

Memory Disorder - very good interpretation, the piece is very distinct from the source, yet the source usage is very apparent. This in two hours? I'm jealous.

Wingboots - Sounded out of key for up to 01:15, then it got really nice in my opinion. I think the first lead is out of tune, which makes the piece later sound out of key. Actually at first the first bass that comes in sounds out of key. But around 01:00 the inital lead is out of tune with the bass drone that comes in. Finally, around 01:15 it starts to make sense when that lead is pushed to the background. I quite enjoyed the piece from there on. The sound has potential. It's pleasantly distorted. I also like the change to a slower half-time beat. It does end rather abruptly.

Gabadu - A fun mix! I actually enjoyed the first ten seconds or so very much, I thought you had a pleasant sound going on there. The rest of it is fun too, the transition to the full-on gabba part was good for example.

cake 4 u by evktalo: Really enjoyed the bass in this piece. I was hoping to see someone put a melodic spin on this upbeat tune, and you did a great job with it!

Gabadu (Speedy Crap Mix) by chroxic: Tempo automation, oh boy.. jk, even tho its a risky move, I think you really made it work. I really enjoy this remix!

Wingboots by Zerothemaster: Man this is almost psychedelic! I don't typically enjoy the 8bit sounds, but I really enjoy them in this remix. Superbith.

Memory Disorder by DjMokram: Oh man this is so eerie! The intro is sick. I really like how the main theme is voiced. My favorite part is the whole section at 2:12, that part is rockin!

Overall this one was pretty hard for me to vote on. Great round guys!
