Heh, I thought you didn't like the source - you seemed to make into something really fun... The soundbite made me lol (does that make me an evil person?), and the beat you added to the thing is really catchy... and you've successfully taken out 1:07 :).

2nd - Setokaibarocket
Not your best, but I still enjoyed it immensely. The samples were under par and the arrangement was a bit repetitive throughout, but I enjoy bobbing my head to techno music so you get second from me (and the Spanish sign of the cross with the loaded gun was neat :P)

3rd - Blackstar
Nice for a first time, I'm afraid I have to rank it third due to the real lack of bass in the mix (along with a lack of source - it's there, but not enough for my tastes). Also, it just... ends, which is pretty annoying. Otherwise, the harmonies and added melodies are among the strongest out of the four mixes, so kudos for that :).

4th - Binweasel
Funny, when I heard the beginning of it I was sure I was going to give you first... but then it seemed to fall short toward the middle. I really like the setting of it, but it doesn't seem to develop into anything after that, making me cry a little :(... Nice shot, anyway; next time develop the music more - I really liked where it should have gone (but didn't...).

I cannot vote for myself, right? Ok, here we go.

1. Seto - Retribution.
Good production, pumping beats. Nice use of voice samples. Little bit on the repetitive side, and does not have a complex structure, but that is what I like in my dance tunes. This is definitely my choice for #1. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit!

2. Binweasel - The Karter's Dream.
VERY elaborate interpretation. I had to listen a couple of times to make sure that the source was there. There is a whole bunch of variations and additions. The mix doesn't really have direction and the production quality is so-so. But I have to say that if production was high quality, this might have turned out a lot better. #2.

3. BlackStar - 3, 2, 1, Go!
Not bad for the first try. I expected it to build up to something, but it never did, kinda just repeated over and over again with some source thrown on top. Then it suddenly stopped, no outro whatsoever. Also, some dissonance at around 0:40 and 1:38. This gets #3.

Ambient- Interesting drums, but fairly uninspiring source usage. I really didn't like the scream sample.
BlackStar - Probably my favorite hook usage, but it was too short. Needed an ending hook to complete it and make it great.
Binweasel - I think most things were in order, but the slower pace and slightly poor samples really set this one back. A couple of ticks faster and this probably would've been higher.
Seto- Once it hits full speed the song feels like its going somewhere, but it's all arpeggios. Adding some cool melodic stuff over them would make this more interesting.

Binweasel - Interesting start. The instruments are the same during almost the whole song, but there's a lot of variation in it. Thehe background is excellent.
Setokaibarocket- Trancy start. Funny vocals and a nice kick. The last part is the same as the introduction.
Ambient - First, welcome back. It takes a while before the song comes to life. I like the way how you 'entered' the source. I like that part.
BlackStar - I like what you did in the begin and you continue that way the whole song. Nothing really new happends after that part.

1. The most interesting to listen to, thanks to the added melodic bits - and very Mario-esque. Don't recognise the tune added (unless I do and just don't know it), but it reminds me of the Devestation's Doorway OCRemix. I also love the choir/electric guitar background. The lack of a proper ending is a shame, though.

2. This one had a really good lead up, and a rocking finish, but all the screaming bits really, really didn't do me any good. Right up 'til then, I was groovin' it. Kinda reminds me of a Descent track.

3. Sounded good, but at the same time, unfortunately, also uninteresting. Once the sound evolves and the song starts, it doesn't change much at all. Would like to see some interplay between different synths next time.
