Heres my vote,
I really liked the style and interpretation of just64helpin's version, it's far from the style of the original and still turned out very nice.

Chickenwarlord- you really took a chance and I'll give you credit for that, it's really bizarre but the melody is always still in there somewhere, I actually quite liked this song as odd as it is.

Nice one setokaibarocket (you've got to get a shorter name one of these times) it's a very catchy trance song and I really like the sounds you used.

Just64's sounds the best out of all the pieces all around. It has a decent interpretation level and is pleasant to the ear, if somewhat plodding at points.
Binweasel has my favorite arrangement, but some of the samples are absolutely atrocious. Atrocious to the point of killing good compositional ideas.
Munchi keeps interesting throughout, but absolutely floods the soundscape with things. It's a tad too busy and loud all around. Going back and adding some balance would greatly improve the piece. You already mentioned the weak ending in your description, but it does hurt the piece a good bit.
Seto: This is incredibly similar to other entries you've had in the past: repetitive, bass and high heavy with squashed mids. I can't say that I enjoyed the vocal clips, but the slowdown was a decent way to break the pattern.

Don't have the time to write anything good here, but setokaibarockets piece would sounded like if I participated in this, so it gets my vote.

Setokai: "once again, ONce again, ONCE AGAIN for the renegade masta'"
Do I need another reason?

Chicken: You achieved what you were going for and it works. Solid solid second place.

Just64: I enjoyed this piece very much from a compositional standpoint, but some of the samples and mastering in contrast to setokai and chicken don't cut the mustard.

I think I've gotten better at supressing my urge to give my top vote to the entry that happens to be the catchiest. If not, I would have instantly put setokaibrocket first just for the "Renegade Master" sample. Moving on:

munchi - I'd have to say the orchestral hits were a good idea. They get a bit muddy in rapid succession, but that's minor in comparison to how it was implemented overall. The progression of the percussion also works well, IMO.

Chickenwarlord - I give this 2nd because it seems to actively tap into the concept and context of the source material. A remake of 'Eek! the Cat' on a current-gen system might have something like this playing, for instance.

setokaibrocket - Damn.... I like it! :) Again, I'd REALLY like to give this no.1, but that would just be bias voting in my place. You do deserve credit for remixing a dance tune into a dance tune without making it seem like a direct copy.

Honorable mention goes to Binweasel, who already admitted to "hundreds" of faults. I'm sort of busy myself re-watching the entire Star Trek film and TV franchise in chronological order. ;|

Binweasel's mix gets first, just64helpin's mix gets second, and Chickenwarlord's mix gets third. Very ethereal.

awesome, i wrote like a page then closed the window accidentally.

anyways, in a nutshell, j64 rocks and his is basically what i wanted to hear when i chose the source (not that i was looking for a genre, but his was just really good) good interp while still recognizeable, awesome. really good production.

chicken, nice ufo fxy feeling, good job making it ambient, i have a really hard time with it.

seto, im a sucker for 4/4 so i liked yours alot in places but overall i found it was very packaged, instrumentwise. i love pitched bass just as much as the next hardstyle person but it felt somewhat "out of the box" and not smoothed out, along with some of the other instruments. I enjoyed the note changes you did on the melody, changed it up nicely. im indifferent to the vocal fx from counterstrike and other stuff like the Wildchild samples. sometimes they ruin a song, but it didnt put me off too much. thats just personal preference though, cause i know they are common in this genre.

dont take it too hard that i spent more time explaining my vote for your song seto, its not cause i think there is a lot you can improve; its just cause we do the same type of songs usually, so its easier for me to pick out and talk about layers that i know about.

peace guys, thanks everyone for making my source choice come alive

just64helping: Nice! I quite like the sounds you used, although maybe the piano feels kinda robotic and unhumanized, but that's a kinda minor drawback. Quite relaxing to listen to overall.

Chicken: Definitely something different but i liked it. Made me feel strangely relaxed and meditative, ahha. Pretty cool sweeping sounds you've used. some sounds sounded rather cheesy and presetty but mostly it was good.

munchi: Pretty cool, I can tell that you probably spent quite a bit of time changing the melody. the problem is that I can hardly recognise the source a great deal I don't think.. Well done though =)
