Chickenwarlord - Funny start, don't know what to expect. It's short, but only funny. The drums are almost leading the song, the lead, with a few weird notes around 1:04-1:10 doesn't 'make' the song.
Alex Smith - Nice intro, I don't like the main lead, but it is mixed well. The middle section (0:45) is a bit boring and doesn't belong here. The song never comes to a next section and ending comes too soon (except the voice).

It sounded like Chickenwarlord's was just thrown together last-minute. Oh, it was? Okay, then that makes sense.

What the heck?! What happened to the good old days when at least ten people competed with each other? (Remember PRC26, when there were 22 mixes - twenty-two!) And they were EAGER to submit their mixes. Now PRC is left to TWO people competing, and that's after a submittal extension!

Will PRC ever become popular again?

In this case, I think Alex takes in with both arrangement and quality of sounds used. He takes the source in more of a new direction than chicken. Both are admittedly last minute entries, but Alex definitely took the lead here.

I'ts unfortunate that this compo doesn't get the same attention it once commanded. I'd love to see a lot more involvement and thoughtful remixing (not saying anything's wrong with these mixes, just that they were entered because of lack of entries). Of course, I didn't get an entry in for this one, so I'm one to talk.
