TheVideoGamer - I made this all on GarageBand on IOS, because i was away for a break. This one is mostly a drum heavy live jam, where i inputted various rhythms and sounds to make something that is distorted borderline industrial. The drum sounds were mostly random in rhythms, but the overal feel was intense and hard hitting. Whilst the drums were cutting through, i added a movie sample from Thomas Hardy, to add to the intense bar like atmosphere that you see in the images. Not much to say, it's extremely simple, but the atmosphere is there, and it was different. Oh well, glad you liked it!
Arcana - Interesting for you to go the Chiptune route, i don't often hear this from you. The rhythms are very cool, kind of giving me an oldschool European type shooting game. The melodies are very cool, not nesecarily dynamic, but there is moments that are kind of catchy. Qutie short and has an abrupt ending, but i couldn't really find anything particularly wrong, it was a "does the job well" kind of track. Well done!
Nukage - Eerie intro, kind of unsettling, which you wouldn't think is from Nukage, but when the hi-hats come in, it all makes sense. The intro and the drop kind of are different worlds, but the transition between them was seemless and smooth. It feels atmospheric in the buildups, and then epic and distorted in the drops, which is great. The whole track is not loud yet it still feels like were raising the roof. Maybe a tiny bit overcompressed, but the track itself in terms of arrangement and mixing was just awesome. You always just excell at such high quality bangers man, Awesome work!
DarkShadow - Very lo-fi sawtooth action going on, the track is extremely intense and distorted, more so than your other entries. It's got a Industrial Techno aesthetic going on. The melodies are cool, but chaotic as always, to where it's hard to descern what's going on. Some parts were quite harsh as well, kind of shrill. This was very cool though, the rhythms were insanely trippy. Good job!
A2Z - Loving the bitcrushed drums here, we also have a Video Game theme, but with a bit of a Baroque style chord progression. The drums kind of get lost with the melodies a bit, but the melodies themselves are super nice. It's a simple but well executed tune. Not much else to say, but it was really nice. Well done!
DDRKirby(ISQ) - Got the makings of a classic DDR beat here, right down to the chord progression, but this time with a lot of vocal samples sprinkled in, and an insane drop that is on the same level as Nukage's for hardness. It's probably the closest we'll get to a full on dubstep track from you, complete with some intense growls and drum work. There is a lot of sick breakbeats here too, the mixing is super hard but super nicely done. There is a lot of changes, that takes me by suprise, and it's awesome. I really don't know what else to say, this is absolutely fire. So fire i placed it first, incredible work!
Nextgennick - Bringing the oldschool 80's feel now, but yet also still sounding like a video game. I don't know what it is this week, but it really feels like were going all out with the video game sounds. I love that synth/guitar sound, it works so well with the sawtooth basslines and drums. Super 80's sounding, but super high quality. The track itself mix wise is quite...brickwalled and over the top, but composition wise, it's great. More to like than dislike, well done!
Darg0000 - Lol to the title, hopefully this is the right version. That melody is super interesting, it kind of works with the bassline even if they come from different worlds. It sounds like lo-fi punk, but with some tasteful distortion. The solo's on this one were awesome too, i really couldn't find much to say. Well done!
Coloradoweeks - Love when you drop by, i hope for more Colorado entries soon. You make amazing music. I love how the lyrical content is very serious and almost dark, but the chords and the way it's played sounds so whimsical and fun, i can't take it too seriously. The singing is amazing though. The drum and melodica solo was not expected, it makes it more carribbean sounding. Overall the track is just so much fun, and singing is exceptionally high quality. It was so good i placed it 2nd, incredible work!
Superjoe - Another 80's styled track, but with a punk rock vibe. I'm just a bit fan of the 80's drum machines in general. I don't know who to compare it to, but it has a bit of a unison thing going on. Very short, had to play it a few times to process what was going on, and i did notice part of the vocal abruptly cuts out, i don't know if it's intentional or not. I sense potential here, i felt the mixing was a little uneven personally. But the idea was super cool, good job!
AutomaticJack - Woah not even an intro, the drop is already in motion. The mixing on the drum is insanely hard, like Nukage levels of hard. The sound design in this one is through the roof, i really feel every growl and drum hit, but with a small hit of chiptune elements thrown in. The track is really pushing me down in a great way. Some parts feel kind of techno, with how the off-beat bass is working with the drums. I like the breakdown here, i felt the track was a little close to being a bit too repetitive, but then it changes at just the right second to really bring an impact. Track was absolute fire, not much else to say, awesome work!
Relax.D - Guitar tones are sick, lots of reverb going on, i feel like were in a factory somewhere. The track is quite intense, with lots of drum changes, that really hit in a deep way, and a sort of warm overtone in the melodies, despite it being very intense and airy. The vocals are really sick too, even if some parts are lost by the intense reverb. I relistened to it a few times, and i couldn't see much to critique, it was very cool. Well done!
Meistr - This time we go for a more Folk style, compared to the rest, that has been mostly itense EDM and or Video Game sounds, so it's a cool change of pace. The violin work is killer, it's performed exceptionally well. I feel like i'm in a Viking themed area. This is insanely cinematic, and the melodies are wonderful, i loved it a lot, it was so good i placed it third, amazing work!
