I was hyped up for compo, however sadly tiredness kicked in, and i ended up going to bed. I had come back from a long journey, as well as doing a lot of stuff, so i had to call it. 99 percent of the time i'm fine, but that one percent can hit me, this is why i'm not always here. But i can vote, so let's do it now! I didn't submit anything to the sharing off exactly due to it being a free round, and i'm busy, but i did share some snippets of stuff i've been working on at least, so you can check it out whenever possible. Anyways, voting time!

DarkShadow - Lot of long bass notes this week, very little in terms of bass movement, compared to some entries. This one emphasises a lot of these lazer synth leads that kind of feel like i'm called upon something urgent. Very hardcore sounding, lots of cool back and forth between two notes. The track is super intense, and very hard hitting, i dig it. Some parts in the middle get a bit overblown, almost too compressed, but other than that i like it. Good job!

Exubeat - Cool bitcrushed sounds, sounds very mechanical. Liking the 808 cowbell melody, proper Phonking it up, except this has more of the trap sound than the dance sounds. Either way, it's a very catchy trap beat, that is quite loose but yet consistent in the groove. The melodies are very nice, but they take the backseat as the drums are the main focus of this track. Some parts could be smoothed a bit, but i found more to like than dislike. Well done!

darg0000 - Ooh time signatures eh? I can try and follow along, although i'd probably be lost lol. It doesn't help it's late as i type this. I really like how it's got a Sega Genesis coded sound, the melodies are really nice, as is the chords, kind of punk-rock inspired. I know that Genesis soundfont from anywhere i used to use it lol. The drums don't really make a statement it's the melodies that are the focus. Honestly whilst i'm not a fan of the drums, the melodies are super well made, it's a great piece, so i'll give you it. Well done!

obScene - Man it's been ages, i hope you are doing well. This is another of your pretty pieces, this time with a childlike melody that is soft and warm. The vibraphone is a lovely touch, usually you don't use those kinds of instruments, but this works. Man this is such a lovely childlike piece, i feel young again listening to this. The melodies are gorgeous, and the arrangement is top notch. Absolutely beautiful, and of course it's going on the top spot. Incredible work!

A2Z - Sick chords, very oldschool 80's flavour. I was not expecting that beat, i assumed more of a synthwave thing going on, but instead we got a hyper electro type beat instead, which i'm all for. I recgonise some of these Sytrus presets, i used to use this synth a lot back in the day. I love the arrangement, but the middle part is just too loud for me sorry. I think it's the lead synth that is introduced, but it makes everything so in your face, smoothing is reccomended. Melody wise though, it is beautiful, just a tad bit of touching up is perfect here. Lots of potential, good job!

Nextgennick - I'm a big sucker for guitar feedback it's nice to hear raw sounds like that. The drums are deep but not too deep, and the guitar sounds super watery but in a great way. We have that mix of electronic and acoustic here, in a very relaxing way. Everything is purposely muffled to give off that atmospheric feel. I honestly couldn't find much to critique here, especially since the reverb is deliberately emphasised here. Well done!

Coloradoweeks - From the title i mistook it for Beautiful Girls, but Fire is also good lol. I'm not the biggest Sean Kingston fan, his music seems a bit...outdated personally (Shots fired i know), but you aced the cover. Killer synth chords, and a lovely acid bassline. Your vocal work is amazing as usual. The bass is maybe a tad bit loud, but other than that, the track is really great. The drums aren't as intense as the original, it sounds more modular vs. the house beat from the original. Either way, the song isn't my taste, but the cover is just so good, i love it. Awesome work!

DDRKirby(ISQ) - Some nice blips here, really loving the arps. You are really killing it with the DnB lately, and this is no exception. Although i believe the last one you did was straight up Jungle, this seems to be the best of DnB and Jungle, with a lot of very airy synths, that also don't sound out of place underwater. The melodies are less pronounced as your usual entry, with the ideas being centred mostly in the form of chords and basslines. This is a good thing, not a negative. Honestly i can't find anything to critique, you're just always so good at your craft. Wonderful stuff man, it was so good i placed it 2nd, incredible work!

Arcana - This might be a rare case of Arcana going both emotional but also uplifting. Some of the chords here are suprisngly beautiful, i'm shocked. This might be your best harmony to date, there is some killer spices here. The vocals are beautiful too, the reverb is perfect. One or two moments in the vocal melody, seem a bit out of key, but you could be doing a NickC where you include that tad bit of dissonance in a consonant entry. Wonder if he's doing ok. This is honestly beautiful man, i really don't know what else to say. Awesome work!

Ethansight - Bringing the kick to start with, this is a banger already. Love the techno vibes in this one, the synth is very fluttery i dig it a lot. The mixing is top notch too, very catchy stuff, not over the top. The melody is so Ethansight, i know your chords a mile off. The chords are kind of stabby this week, in contrast to more smoother chords, i love it. Mixing is fire, melodies are wonderful, not much to say. Love it man, so much so i placed it third. Incredible work!

Top 3 - obScene, DDRKirby(ISQ), Ethansight.

Arcana and Coloradoweeks also deserve to be on the list too.

1 A2Z - Happy tune! I like the bright synths, and general upbeat mood

2 DDRKirby - Great mix, synths are silky and the drums are tight. Very fun exploring halftime at this tempo, makes a great bridge and lots of energy when the full breaks come back in

3 Arcana - Surprisingly uplifting tune, enjoyed the wide open soundstage, and simple production with the big reverb.

DarkShadow - Big boss type bass

darg0000 - Interesting time signatures, melody seemed a little sporadic

exubeat - Kinda atonal trap beat, wish the bass was louder!

obScene - Wonderful sounds all around, I'd pollinate to this. Fairy garden sorta place

nextGenNick - Spaced out tune, sounds like a nice jam played at the end of a long hall!

coloradoweeks - Classic pop got the party bumpin!
