A2Z: I think just from sheer vibes, A2Z got this one. Great mixing and superb house beat going on. The minimal melody is nice but the really great deep house vibes totally bring me along.
DarkShadow: The kinda two step feeling in this one really got me grooving out. It's almost like gonna bust into that but at the same time it's like not quite going there which adds to that kind of tense vibe to it. I dunno I really liked this one.
DDRKirby: This one is a little crunchier than usual DDRKirby songs but I like the variety in the tone, it feels different and interesting.
Wassup: This one is also crunchy but in a different way. Love the industrial riffs, the rhythmic percussive elements, and the heavy bass sounds in this one.
relaxd: Frantic and heavy and yet also droney. The randon voices are tasteful, add intrigue, even if they're not really like sung. It's got that sampled-dub quality to it where things are maybe kinda expected to loop but yet not.
Unknown Pseudoartist: That's such a 909 hat. I like the slow digital sweep synth. The steppiness is actually a benefit here.
TVG: I missed the fast TVG acid, you don't know sometimes how it's like cathartic to hear stuff like this. Yeah it could use more variety but I think you did pretty good given time constraints, and it was fun.
Arcana: I don't usually comment a lot on my tracks but I thought I would about this one because it's so different from what I have done for the past year or so. It's Eurorack Modular, most of the sounds are from a digital chiptune synth, and they're run through analog filters. Sequenced with Oxi One, so the sequences repeat, except for that one wavetable synth that was sequenced with a Metropolix that I couldn't ever really tame. I had a lot of controls in this one but ironically they didn't really do anything I wanted. The first chords are a bunch of really wide 7th chords and sequenced in a grid sequencer synth called the Deluge. Normally I don't do this a lot in OHC because I can't handle the indeterministic nature of doing hardware compositions during the 1 hour but glad that it worked out (eventually, even if I had to drag my laptop and my old audio interface out of the other room because the cable wasn't long enough to record into my normal interface)

TheVideoGamer - This track is meh. The idea is supposed to be a kind of Happy Hardcore track, with a sort of uplifting element, but what follows is something very boring, and very repetitive. It was originally 6 minutes, but i accidentally copied and pasted it, so what you hear for the rest of the track is just the same thing. It's not so much it sounds bad, more so it just sounds like a bunch of nothing. I don't know exactly what went wrong, but it was a mixture of Beat block and i guess sound choices. At least i submitted, even if i'm not amused. Thanks anyways!
DarkShadow - Classic DarkShadow square tones, but this time with a lot of swing compared to normal. It's quite the funky beat, instead of it being straight up glitchy. The chords are kind of sick, but it does get a tad bit loud towards the end. The idea is very cool, the swing is a very interesting variation, especially at the end. Good job!
DDRKirby(ISQ) - Smooth guitar i feel like i'm on the beach, even though the theme is of someone both walking and running. The melodies are smooth, that guitar work is lovely, and the beat is really funky. The track really does feel like it's prime for some kind of rap, it's a great beat, with some perfect mixing. The flute melody is a perfect touch, this track just hits all the right notes. Nothing else to say i loved it, so much so it's on the top spot, incredible work!
Wassup Thunder - A big contrast from the last entry, this is very dark and gritty. The syncopation is off the charts here, it reminds me a bit of like Command and Conqure. The organ and church bell combo is suprising for this theme, but i like it. If i were to nitpick, i'd go for more stronger drums, but that's me going nitpicky mode. Idea is killer though, even if not what i think of with the theme. Well done!
A2Z - This is some progressive house if i've ever heard it. I feel like i'm back in 1993. Complete with some slow subtle changes, and some very watery synths, that transport me to the sea. The piano melody is fire, the whole track is just smooth and really nicely arranged. It has potential for smoothing sure, but the mix is just great overall. Love this one man, it was so nice i chose it for the 2nd spot, amazing work!
Relax.D - Intense drums, quite the drum beat. I like the vocals a lot, but it's a bit on the quiet side, i would boost it a tad. The hi-hats are really going to town, it's extremely hi-hat coded. To the point where it can be a bit harsh not gonna lie. I love me some hats as much as the next guy, but this is...a bit much lol. Idea is killer though, lots of potential. Good job!
Unknown Pseudartist - Short n sweet. Hard to judge a 40 second beat, but that's ok. Really loving that 909 drum pattern, i'm a sucker for some TR-909. The track is sort of blending the best of electronic and acoustic it's a great idea. I feel like there is room for a melody here, especially since this is like the start of an idea, but the idea itself is really great. Like the speed up at the end. Good job!
Arcana - Digging this, it's like a Kraftwerk type beat. Chords are really pretty, it's been a while since i've heard you go modular, but i really like the results here a lot. I love the delayed clap in this, you'd think it sounds off, but it actually works well with the beat, i dig it. Lots of really nice use of repetition, very soft anf subtle changes, but noticable. Honestly the only think i it needs is maybe a stronger kick, but aside from that, it's actually really nice. Warm, not too weird, and it flows really nicely. It was so nice i chose it for the third spot, it was great, amazing work!
