TheVideoGamer - The theme was kind of weird, as it felt very much like a silly party going on, and i initially thought about doing some kind of electro swing/jazzy house, but when i got into about 20 minutes, i got beat-block, so i couldn't expand upon it. I tried looking for old projects for inspiration but it wasn't working. Due to time issues, i decided to move on, and try using samples, of which i ended up with a Herb Alpert sample. I looped that until the end but manipulated it with effects to keep it interesting. Because of limited time i kind of panicked, so i just looped the sample over and over, whilst adding in other stuff, like DnB drums, Adele samples and even some various arps to enhance a bit of the weird relaxing nature. The track overall is very repetitive and bland, and i feel we could have done a lot more, but this is the best at the moment. It's not terrible, just not my best work. Oh well, thanks for listening!

DarkShadow - The techno man is here. Lots of classic DarkShadow square basslines and thick sawtooths, it's very oldschool. The chords are very cool, but sadly the saw lead is very loud in comparison to the rest. It feels very compressed the whole track, even if it's not distorted. I like it though, it's different. Good job!

Wassup Thunder - This one is different from your usual style, we got a bit of a rock thing going with a sort of mildly positive pizz string section. The orchestral and rock blend is very cool, i feel like were in an RPG of some kind. The bassline is not my favourite personally, i would have gone for a bit more of a acoustic sound than an electric one, but that's just me. The 2nd is quite the shift, we go into a more fast euro/techno thing which i like. It's quite a gradual shift in key, and the part is....quite loud i'm not gonna lie. But i dig it, it's a fun section for sure. I sense a lot of potential here it's really good stuff. Good job!

nexGenNick - Cool beat, got a bit of an oldschool meets new school approach. That is one cool guitar riff, it sounds a bit like were underwater. The track has a lot of juicy synths, it exemplifies a space approach, even if the synths remind me of being underwater. The reverb is quite cool too, it's a great idea. I do think overall the synth and guitar makes the track a bit too deep, and perhaps too compressed, however the idea is very interesting, and the solo work is great. I sense a lot of potential here, it is a great vibe. Good job!

Relax.D - I really like the drums here, very swung lots of groove. There is an insane amount of hi-hat abuse here. I know you like your closed 909 hats lol, but this is too much. The vocal work is quite buried here, but i don't know if it's intentional. Honestly the rest of the track is extremely catchy, but i struggle to listen to it, due to how piercing the hi-hats are lol. It's a good idea though, it just needs smoothing. Good job!

A2Z - That is one banging kickdrum, this some progressive music for sure. The track is very punchy, but not too loud. The melody ideas here are more weird, but it works to it's advantage in this track. There is some cool atmospheric sounds woven in and out, but it's still recognisable as a dance track. The scratches are sick too, i like the use of them as a fill. Honestly not much else to say, it's a great idea, that could be taken either further, but as it stands, i love it. In fact it was so good i chose it for the top spot, incredible work!

DDRKirby(ISQ) - Wasting no time with the oldschool. It's like the greatest hits of the Sega Genesis but with modern production sensabilities. The trap parts are banging, as is the thick brass, and i really dig how well the vocals blend with the rest. The melodies are dark but not weird, it really adds to the vibe a lot. This is some quality mixing to boot, it just feels like a great beat for someone to rap over. Nothing else to say, it was fire. It was so good i placed it 2nd, incredible work!

Meistr - This is the most VGM in this compo. It sounds like were taking full control of the C64 sound chip. Initially i thought of the Turbo-Grafix, but the extensive use of saw waves makes it more closer to C64. That melody is very catchy, it feels like just a simple positive tune, nothing but good vibes. The mixing is really great too, especially since were working with an old style soundchip. The track is just honestly great, nothing really else to say. It was so good i placed it third, amazing work!

Arcana - I actually didn't know it was Bojack Horsemen until i looked at the lyrics, as usually i don't pay attention to the description when listening. The singing is great, i feel this is more of an acapella type beat, as the backing track is truely more of a background part, than a main focus, compared to other entries of yours. It's very haunting and cold, but yet not weird or too dissonant. Honestly this one is pretty fire, i love it. I also love the abrupt vocal cut out, that was nice. Hard to tell if it's intentional, but if it is, it's a great effect. Honestly i re-listened to it, and i really couldn't find anything wrong, it's just a cool idea. Awesome work!
