TheVideoGamer - This track is basically Speed Garage, or at least some variation of Speed Garage, as i am aware genre conventions can be blurry, and what is classed as Speed Garage might not apply here. Either way i was thinking in that mindset. The bulk of the track involves short stabby mellow chords, that are quite uplifting, but that was because i didn't know what direction to take the track, so i settled for uplifting, and intense syncopated beats with a lot of swing to make it funky. Also thrown in, is a whirring synth, and a thick synth bass to beef it up, but also add a bit of that electro-like sound to the mix. In terms of structure it's mainly just A section and B section with a few other stuff thrown in, the track is simple as it's made up of mostly looped based sections. When it does change it mostly goes from stabbed chords to phased ambient pads. All in all, it's kind of cool i like it, it's different. Glad you liked it too!
DarkShadow - Nice bass tones, got that classic DarkShadow harshness but in a good way. I always dig the time signature changes too. The only thing that i don't really like is the main lead is quite loud in comparison to the rest, and i would also think the addition of percussion could elevate this, but it's a neat idea for sure. Good job!
Nukage - Already hyping me up, and we've just started the track. The intro is super dark and atmospheric, and the drop is KILLER. I know you make hard hitting beats, but this one especially slaps. The mixing is absolutely amazing here, not too loud, not too quiet. It hits all the right spots, without it being too painful. It's just an amazing tune, so amazing i decided to place it on the top spot, incredible work!
DDRKirby(ISQ) - This one is very interesting, because it combines DnB with Synthwave, which is a combo that you don't often hear, but i am all for it. Melodies are absolutely fire as always, and the beats are sick too. Lots of lovely changes for only 2 minutes. The transition into the 80's drums was fire too, it didn't seem to abrupt or weird, it all flows nicely. On top of the juicy synths, and the various fills. I really couldn't find anything wrong here, it's great. So good i decided to place it third, amazing work!
Meistr - Oh snap Hardstyle! Now that is something i was not expecting this week, but i will absolutely take it. Sounds like were in the 2015 era of Hardstyle (That's a compliment) The lead synths are very cutting edge, the track is a really great attempt at hardstyle. Everything bangs as it should especially in the drums. The only thing i will say is the buildup was very underwhelming. I didn't feel as hyped as i could be. The volume contrast between the drop and the buildup was big. This is really great stuff altogether, it just has a lot of potential for smoothing. Good job!
BJKMenu - A short beat from you man, lots of organ licks and juicy guitar tones and a very abrupt end, which indicates that this is like half a render or something. What i hear presented to me though is really great. Melody is fire, and the organ progression is super cool. I just wish there is a bassline here to fill in that low end, and of course the extremely abr- good job!
Arcana - This is probably the most electronic heavy Arcana track i've heard in a while. It's a full on trance track, with some sick reverb usage, and a really nice synth chord progression. The vocal work is really great too. i love the melody and the autotune, it's not too out of place, everything flows nicely. The only thing that i'll say here, is towards the end the drums start to get lost as more and more sounds are added, they could be a tiny bit stronger. There is also a resonant synth in this track, that is also a bit louder than the rest, but aside from that it's definately one of your strong ones, it has potential. Good job!
Ethansight - This is a fixing cars type beat if i've ever heard it lol. The country influence is strong with this one. The bass and guitar combo works exceptionally well, even with the Ethansight Harmony. The guitar tone is just so thick i love it. It gets really jazzy towards the end, even if parts of the track are in a country style. It's just a lovely piece, no notes on the mix i love it. It was so good i decided to place it 2nd, amazing work!
Cryref22 - I like the direct synths here, it feels like it's edging towards a techno beat, even if it isn't exactly techno. The fluteish melody is really great too, to be fair the whole melody work here is very strong. I would have beefed up the drums a little, tiny bit quiet overal, however the melodies are super interesting, that analogue lead towards the middle was a lovely touch. Yeah despite the quiet drums, i found there was a lot more to like than dislike. Well done!
