some brief reviews:

Meistr: Really really cool sound design going on here, with the ducking lead synth and the really dense synth and nice drop sections and rhythmic arp. Things hit nicely and the production is good and the contrast between the verse section and the drop is really good.

DarkShadow: A DarkShadow song that ends on like a normal note?!? But this has some real groove and tonality to it without being too, well, normal. I like the loudness and the shift from the slower section to the more frantic build and the slow intensity build up throughout the section. And then it keeps building and building and I think that's really nicely done.

Koekepan: Really soft and pretty sounds going on throughout that are wide, well balanced, and sound pleasant. I think the voice is a little loud vs. the background but that's really all.

relaxed: This is a trip and there's so many interesting sounds going on here. It's not quite atonal but it's also not quite in key either, which gives it an unsettling feeling. It's very, very rhythmic, though and the whole growing of the sound and how it slowly gets more and more in key as it goes is a really cool effect. It's got so much character.

TheVideoGamer: Nice use of multiple projects to get your sound despite tech problems. I think the return to the beginning loop was a good call to keep the continuity in the peice by bookending things (and I like that first loop and the arp).

Shit i forgot to vote. Man i've been busy this week.

TheVideoGamer - This track is done in 2 parts, largely because the whole of the OHC, my mouse was being a uncooperative bitch. Luckily it's working now, but man it just kept on lagging, slowing me down. I managed to get a good idea down, of mostly delayed fast arps, a deep bass, and some kind of fast synth-pop drums, but my mouse was bugging me so much i had to mention it in the entry, and then due to time reasons i switchup the beat, by piggy backing on a old project. Very little was done to that, i just exported the results minus one change and shoehorned it in. I then saw i had a minute left, so i jokingly said "Sod it, back to beat one" to finish it off. Only because it makes sense. The beats are cool, and i like the sidechaning of number two, but it just feels quick and lazy in a way, but my mouse was responsible. All in all, it was something, what can i say. Oh well, glad you liked it!

DarkShadow - This thing goes hard, there is a lot of intense kicks and spicy chords going on. It seems calm at the beginning, but it really goes crazy in the end with the gabber kickdrums. I actually really like this, it's really cool. Not theme fitting in my opinion, and it can be very loud towards the end, but it's super cool. Good job!

Meistr - I really like the chords here, very future bass like. The intro is long, but it does buildup really nicely, i like the chord changes in the middle, totally unexpected. The kickdrum is massive, almost too massive. Personally i would have toned it down, it really drowns out the rest, especially for a track that's not as intense as it could have been. Still though, it's a great track, that snare at the end is absolutely insane i love it. This was more than enough for third place (That and there's only 5 to choose from lol). Amazing work!

Relax.d - Interesting drum workout, it's very fast and all over the place, yet the melodies are calm and Shoegazey like. Lots of reverb on the voice, i feel like i'm floating on a cloud despite the intensity. I couldn't really find much to critique to be honest, it was weird yet fascinating. It was enough for me to place you 2nd, amazing work!

Arcana - Nice sound design here, lots of cool ethereal pads. I like your vocals here, it's sort of more of a crooner style, than what i usually hear from you, and the drums are cool. I wish the piano was a little less loud than the rest, but it's not a big one. The overal mixing could be refined, there is also a riser here that is a tiny bit overkill, but the melodies are really cool. I like this one a lot good job!

Koekepan - Nice to see you return, this is an old faithful Koekepan track, with a lot of textural pads, and some bubbly bell sounds. Very cold and futuristic, which i was not expecting for this theme, but i suppose it makes sense. Your voice really adds something here, especially in the mist of all the coldness it's sick. I think this is a great entry here, and definately enough for the top spot. Incredible work!

Awesome - Meistr, relax.d, Koekepan

Needs Work - DarkShadow, Arcana.
