TheVideoGamer - This track is super uplifting, but that's largely in part due to the pretty images. I've probably had this before, but it's just so nice to look at. I decided to add a bit of funky swing to the track, to make it less atmospheric, and more danceable. It's still got the ambient parts, but with more groove if you get me. There is two drum layers, one is the main beat, and then a slightly more distorted layer, to add a bit more crispiness to the beat. Overall, it's mostly about the uplifting calm nature, and the slow changes. Lastly there is a Virginia Astley sample in the middle, and a tubular bell at the end, just to keep it from being repetitive, as sadly the ending is copied and pasted. All in all i like it, it's chill. Oh well, glad you liked it!
DarkShadow - Were in final boss mode. Not what i think when seeing the images, but i guess it's the attack of the killer ocean lol. This is quite hard, with lots of killer bass sounds. The bass sounds towards the end were a tad bit harsh for me, but the idea is super interesting. Good job!
DDRKirby(ISQ) - Very watery, the whole thing definately fits the underwater vibe. Melodies are fire as usual, as is the drums. I love that reverse snare effect, before the main snare, it's a lovely idea. The track mainly alternates between two chords, yet it's very well done. Nothing much to say, it's just a super high quality DDR track. It was enough for the top spot, incredible work!
Nukage - I didn't expect this from you, at least until the end. The start (About 2 minutes of the entry), is straight up guitar licks, with a latin influence, followed by a great vocal performance. I felt this was louder than it needed to be, especially for an acoustic performance, that is until the metal part at the end. That took it into familiar Nukage territory, so it makes sense why it's loud. Still though, i feel like giving it to you, on the strength of the guitar strumming. So good i placed it third, amazing work!
BJKMenu - I like this kind of beat, because it's mostly rock, yet it's arranged into a more Techno style. It's like the best of both worlds. The track has a lot of sick changes, including the really nice latin part at the end. Not what i think of when i look at the images, and it is ostinato heavy, however the vibes are killer. I loved it either way, enough for the 2nd spot, amazing work!
Arcana - Parts of this track sound like it's trying to be uplifting, but it's not lol. The track is really nicely made, the sound design is great, and the vocals are sung well. I didn't really have a problem with the singing contrary to what you say. My main problems stem from the bassline being a tad bit loud, and the vocals could do with a tiny bit more reverb, but it's not too bad. Mixing is really solid here, good job!
Top 3 - DDRKirby(ISQ, BJKMenu, Nukage.
