TheVideoGamer - This track is basically Psytance. Maybe not 1-1 because i rarely make this genre, but it is trance either way. A tad bit copied and pasted at the end, but i spent a lot of time on the buildup, as i wanted the drop to match the intensity of the buildups, resulting in no dead space, and i think i suceeded. The buildups mostly comprise of thick pads, of varying proportions, including some that are textural, and some granular. The drop is very bass heavy, with subs, acid synths, and various sounds played in and out to make it rhythmical and atmospheric. The 2nd buildup is identical to the first, as is the drop, minus the addition of an extra synth playing a new melody, just so it isn't entirely copy and paste. I could do a lot to make it less repetitive, but the idea is very cool, at least to me. Oh well, glad you liked it!

DarkShadow - That is one intense kickdrum i like it. The track has the ingredients of a Classic DarkShadow track, but with more intensity, and perhaps loudness lol. The track has some killer rhythms though, the drum work is strong here. The melodies are very cool too! It's more tonal than some of your other entries. It just needs to be toned down loudness wise a bit, but that's a personal opinion. I honestly felt it was good enough for third place, amazing work!

Meistr - Ok i was not expecting 6 minutes (Well 5:50 to be exact), that's usually me or maybe Arcana, but i'm not complaining, i like a lot of music. It's a really beautiful one to be fair, super relaxing, with so much sound design. There's just pads and strings woven in and out throughout, it's kind of impressive really, and for something this chill it really is a well done piece. I like the addition of the amen, but purists will say it's not Ambient due to the use of rhythm, but honestly i don't care too much, as long as the track sounds good, who cares. The whole thing felt too short to be fair haha, i could stand another 5 minutes it's absolutely beautiful. Loved it a lot, so much so, i placed it first. Incredible work!

Wassup Thunder - I love the percussion in this, it's part orchestral, part dark gritty electronica. Weirdly it feels like it belongs to a modern doom game, it's got that borderline industrial edge. The mixing is really great here, it's so gritty but yet it'a not too loud or obnoxious, it's just right. The track is chock full of melodies too, and they're really catchy. It's mostly a straightforward driving beat, but it's really nice. Can't tell if it's 4 on the floor though, i only hear 1 and 3, not 2 and 4. But this is really me nitpicking. Track was lovely, i absolutely dig it. So much so i placed it second, well done!

Turbo852 - Dinner's more important heh, man's gotta eat. But i appreciate you submitting, even if it was a tad bit loud, and in your face. Good job!

Arcana - I really like the mix of brass and synth work, and i especially appreciate that it's all live sounding, although i can tell you probably added it last minute, as it's a little out of tune. The vocal work is really good though melody wise, but it is a bit loud. It sort of drowns out the rest, but the arangement is top notch, and the chord progression is really cool i dig it! I sense a lot of potential here, the vibe is really cool, just the vocals and brass stick out a tad. Good job though!

DarkShadow - Love the chip sounds! Fun intro. It builds up well.

Meistr - Really nice ambient pads! It makes me think of space. Very peaceful and calming. I loved the various textures that came in and out.

Wassup Thunder - I like the beat and how it evolves. Lots of fun synth textures! Nice melodies too.

TheVideoGamer - Nice ambient intro! Nice beat! Acid sounds are fun!

Arcana - The live trombone is fun! The beat works well too. I like the human feel with recorded parts. The lyrics worked well. I liked the second verse best.

Darkshadow: This was a cool tune. everything was in sync until suddenly it wasn't, and it sounds chaotic and yet so smooth. the rhythms when they match between the drums and the melody is so satisfying and then suddenly it goes off a bit and it's like "What!"

Meistr: Really lovely soundscape and I liked the plucks and everything. Yes the drums make it a little less ambient but it doesn't take away from that kind of floating feeling.

WassupThunder: I thought this was great. The beat is really driving and has good energy and the long sustained melody using a relatively simple lead was a great way to highlight the intensity of the beat because it's so peaceful and then the beat is carrying so much. This one was pretty good and is worth working on more to finish.

turbo852: This was NOT what I was expecting, this is a really crazy scale and it gives things an almost creepy vibe, like you're going slowly insane.

TheVideoGamer: I liked the acid doots a lot. Lots of variation and the groove was catchy. Good drum levels, the kick is snappy, and the builds were well-crafted with the noise and the silly snare rolls. I think if I were to ask for something, it would be a bit more of a melodic element, but even without that this is like a club banger.

Arcana: A comment on my own track - it's only a minimal set of tracks because I played the brass live and left it unprocessed, so you heard all of the flaws. I use the same mic I record vocals on, haha. Because I'm not that skilled at trombone it actually took me quite a few takes, and I didn't really write anything down in advance so it's mostly bass notes (F Eb D mostly with some C). The voice was added in a bit last moment and the lyrics are actually a bit dark - as with most of my lyrics they're allegorical. Oddly enough, I think I struggled the most with the keys because I can't play keys in time at all. It was fun to be able to record more brass though. I've done it before in OHC but this is the first time I actually tried to record a melodic solo.
