It was a tough choice for the 2nd and 3rd place spots.
Koekepan
Definitely a unique take on the theme. Very somber feel.
I liked the percussive bell sounds.
Jett Swole
This was short but fun! Great punk sound!
DarkShadow
I liked some the percussion that starts up in the second half. It sounds great with the chip sounds.
ethansight
Very nice melodies! It definitely felt like a fun jam.
DDRKirby
The delay is really nice! I liked the use of that one well known drum sample with the vocal. The marimba/xylophone was really nice and I loved the bass line and flute that come in later.
Meistr/Colorado Weeks
The guitars sounded great! I liked the energy overall and the drums were nice too!
Arcana
I really liked the intro! The lyrics were well suited to the skateboard theme. Too bad you ran out of time to finish it!

Sadly I was away for this one and I will probably not make next week either. But I did make a sort of entry which you can find in the sharing off, and I can vote so let’s do it!
Note: This is mobile voting forgive my spelling.
Koekepan - Nice to hear you submit again. Really digging the pads here. Very deep and calming. Quite a moody feel, very minimal high end. The track has a chord progression but it’s so far back you can’t really tell what’s going on. I do like the bells in this, it stops it from being too minimal and or repetitive. The delay effects are tasty. I think there is also some sea sounds too, which adds to the atmosphere brought in by the 2nd picture. This kind of entry is one you need patience for, but if you close your eyes, you do feel like you’re on the beach. Quite dynamic too, lots of changes despite its very minimal approach. I love it though, I think this was great. It was so good I decided to place it third, amazing work!
JettSwole - 15 seconds right ok erm, that’s quite short. Like really short, not much to review. I don’t really rank short entries because of how little music I get. But the punk vibes are killer though and they singing is awesome not gonna lie, it’s just too damn short. Good job!
DarkShadow - Long DarkShadow entry. Really dig the kicks in this, it’s almost like a proper hardcore track. Usually there is time signature craziness, but for the most part it’s just a 4 on the floor kick. We do get the wonky rhythms at the end though, so not all of it is just straight gabber. I like the square sounds, but the melodies are all over the place not gonna lie. Sorry but I think I like a bit of stability in my melody lol. It was a lot of fun though, very cool. Good job!
Ethansight - Ethansight returns! That is a killer guitar sound. I totally feel like we’re in a Disco. The melodies are lovely in this, amazing solo. Drums are super tight too. Not too loud or too quiet, it’s funky in all of the right spots. Every melody just hits super hard, and combined with the chord progression it’s just crazy good. Amazing stuff, so amazing I placed it 2nd. Amazing work!
DDRKirby(ISQ) - Ooh this is different from you. I get a sort of RnB style similar to Craig David. The drums are tight as hell, and that melody is extremely catchy. I love the effects on the synth too, it’s like a combination of a guitar and synth. Marimbas as catchy too, the whole track is just a vibe. The arrangement is killer too, so many great sections, lots of variety. I really cannot say anything else, the mix is perfect and the melodies are wonderful. It was so wonderful I placed it on the top spot, incredible work!
VLyrica - Sick guitars Colorado, the mix is pretty tight. It’s like DnB with rock music, but not as Pendulum inspired maybe lol. The kick is quite intense in this, I would have opted for a softer kick to combat its loudness, but that’s a minor one. The drop was killer we went into a nice dubstep part, but I think the guitar and EDM synth are clashing a little. I don’t think an emotive guitar works well with this kind of drop for me personally. However saying that, I re-listened to it and I still found more to like than dislike so I will give you this. Well done!
Turbo852 - Another track that barely reaches 40 seconds lol. Maybe I should join in on the fun. You also went for a fast double time feel. There is an extreme sidechain applied to here that is not needed. I understand if it’s a house track, but not synth punk lol. It just makes me feel like I’m thrashed around. Great idea though, lots of potential here! Good job!
Arcana - Oh snap you also went for rock! It feels more live too, compared to the usual EDM bangers, although saying that this could also be from a DAW. The vocals are great, but I think you might be struggling with the tempo, as some parts are a little pitchy personally. The vocal mixing is good, but maybe a little loud in parts, and I felt it needed a proper ending. However for someone who is mostly known for EDM I did appreciate you branching out to make punk rock, and the melodies were pretty great not gonna lie. Lots of potential here, Good job!
