TheVideoGamer - This track is sort of trying to be a lo-fi hip hop number, but the beat is not wonky enough lol. It is a hip-hop number either way, comprising of thick swung beats, soft piano flurioush and pads, and a soft square melody adding to the melodic charm. The melodies are in your face, and mostly comprise of a relaxing quality in the mist of the beats. In terms of structure it's quite simple, mostly going from section to section without any distinctive sound changes. There is sound changes don't get me wrong, it's just not as drastic. There isn't really key changes either, although there is a moment we introduce a Bb Major chord to the party, almost making it Bb Major in key, but that doesn't really count. Lastly i threw in some rain sounds to keep with the theme. All in all it's really pretty, i do like this one a lot, even if it's quite simple. Oh well, glad you liked it too!

Vi0let125 - Welcome, this is the first time i've heard you. I've said it loads of times, but i am a little critical, but it's all in good fun, and you don't need to actually listen to what i say. Anyways, that is one quiet waveform, but man that is one pretty melody, and honestly also kind of weird in a way, because there's one instrument that is playing in F# Major, and the rest that's in F Major, so it results in a dissonant clash. However the good news is that it's only one tiny instrument within the rest, so it doesn't take over the mix, it was just noticable. The rest is quite beautiful though, if short. Had to play this a few times to process it, but it's quite nice. I was tempted to give you this one, but there was a few moments i would change to make it more dynamic and louder, and less dissonant overall in the back, still though it was a lot of fun, quite mellow. Good job!

updlate - Pretty guitar! It doesn't sound like a real guitar, but it does sound beautiful. That melody just screams Stardew Valley, it's so uplifting. The beat was unexpected actually, which normally isn't the case, but for such a calming melody i thought the beat was unneeded, but it added something so it wasn't a net negative. I love the little F passing note in the end part, it really made it slightly uncertain. I don't know what else to say really, this one is very beautiful, with a really great mix, so great i placed it third. Amazing work!

DarkShadow - Filtered hi-hats? Ok i can dig that, kind of electro thing going on. The bassline is very hetic, even more so than the typical DarkShadow track. It kind of sounds like a broken computer. This one is probably the most techno sounding, it's quite hard hitting, and the melodies are very random. It reminds me of a more crazier variation of Inga Rasen from Streets of Rage 3, but less in a techno style, more electro IDM, and more weird and dissonant, not that Inga Rasen was dissonant to begin with, as that is mostly unpitched sounds as such. I like this one don't get me wrong, but sometimes for me there is a limit to how chaotic and dissonant a track can be, and this is one of them. Sorry man, good job though!

voider - Woah nice piano melodies here, almost close to Studio Ghibli level of Harmonies, it's very cool and interesting. Some parts seem to be in a classic major style, and then some go full debussy with the magical chords, it's great. There is strings in here, but it's so quiet i might as well be hearing air, it's pointless to me. Some piano parts were mildly clustered (Mainly mix wise not melody), but that's about it, i still think it was awesome enough for me to place this in the awesome category. Hell i could vote for this if i wasn't limited to 3. Awesome work!

Nukage - Arps galore! Never get tired of the Nuke vocals, it's very emotive yet it sounds like a robot. This one seems to big up an orchestral style intro, even if made up of synths, which isn't something you would assume from a producer like you. What's also interesting is that i had no clue what style you were gonna go for, so when it was metal i was suprised, because it didn't set me up for that, it's cool. The drop itself is awesome though, mixed perfectly, not too loud or quiet, and the vocals are nicely balanced. It's just such a hyped up piece, with killer vocals i don't know how else to rank it really. It's great, definately voting worthy. Awesome work!

Thirdkoopa - More metal music! I see you mostly in 2hts, and you make some really sick grungy music, and this is no exception. Not what i think off when i see the images, but man if the music is top notch, forget the images lol. No but seriously, that is one hell of a guitar tone, it goes so nicely with the drums. You are dragging a bit with the drums, it's like 10bpm behind with the guitar, however the mix itself is great, as is the tone. You'll notice when i vote, i go full on critical, but this is just a me thing, nor does it mean i hate your entry, far from it, it's so good. A lead guitar would seal the deal here, and maybe more quantisation in the drums, but aside from that, it was great. Good job!

Meistr - Starting right of the bat with a deep piano progression and some killer drums that sort of anticipate a disco beat, but i guess i can work with EDM. Don't know what genre really, it has a future bass synth, a sort of electro rhythm, but dubstep kick. Strange but very cool! The chords are nice, but the drums are very upfront for me, especially in the mist of the piano progression. You make up for it though with an amazing growly drop, that took me by suprise but it was ace. The vocal work in this one is probably the best mixed of the bunch, it's so good. Relistened to it a few times, and honestly there's a lot more to like than dislike, it was killer. Well done!

Dex - Thick RPG piano's, this is some boss fight almost. I wasn't expecting so much piano in this week's OHC, it's quite impressive really. The piano is very upfront in comparison to the rest, however the melodies are lovely, so i will give you that. The violin is a lovely touch, sounds quite convincing to be honest, it really adds a level of emotion to the whole piece too i love it. The drums kind of feel like a Military March thing going on, yet you chose a rock kit, so it's kind of a best of both worlds. It needs smoothing a little, however you made up for it with some seriously strong melody ideas. I feel like giving you this one, it was great. Well done!

turbo852 -  Ahh you copied and pasted, nice! For those wondering, copying a few bars of something doesn't make it repetitive. It only becomes repetitive when you only use just a fre bars of something for the whole of 6 minutes. Loving the rain samples, glad i wasn't the only one lol. Pretty drums, love how it get's filtered in, it's a great touch. I like the snare sound, it feels like a African drum of some kind. The melody is pretty nice, quite cold in a way. Loving the flute, it's quite tribal in a way. I also really dig the effects featured in drums, it adds a nice layer of subtlty. I like how each section really changes up the melody, almost like a different key in a way. Everything is great, i just miss a chord progression here, something to accentuate the melody, because to me it sounds a little thin. The bassline is there, if a little sporadic, but there is a lack of chords or pad to really take it to the next level, and it makes the mix less thin. Still though, this is a killer idea, it's very cool! Good job!

obScene - Woah this is some extrmely nice sounding piano! Man this is paino week, you guys are killing it. Loving the strings, this is dark and cinematic. Only 3 entries went the happy route, whereas this is some full on modern movie stuff, probably fitting for a Detective action movie. The changes are wonderful, it's so pretty, i really feel the weight of these melodies, the drums are delightful too, not too in your face. The whole thing just really feels like i'm transported in a specific scene of a movie, where the narrator talks about a moment involving detective work. For 3 minutes there's so many changes, this is just absolutely beautiful. So beautiful i didn't hesitate putting this one the top spot, it was amazing. Incredible work!

DarkMystery727 - Back to emotional and happy, this time with more of a lo-fi rain sample than a straight rain sample, and the piano sounds are filtered giving a plinky sound, it's quite calming. Not straight up positive however, more like a 50/50 mix. The rain sounds might be a little too loud in this, but i think it adds to the experience. I feel like the way you've played this progression it sort of goes in a direction of a Canon, but without the melody being cycled. I sense potential here, for a pad, largely so that it adds dynamics to the piece, as the rainsound is nonstop and in your face. Also the pads will add a bit more emotion to make it slightly less one dimensional. Still though it's very beautiful regardless, i liked it a lot. Good job!

InvisibleObserver - So many textures in this one! From white noise sweeps, to slow brooding pads, and lots of filters. I feel like i'm in space, but it's raining in lol. The drums were unexpected, and in my opinion a tiny bit loud, but it's programmed beautifully, and for these kinds of chords it makes for a very catchy listen. The sidechain is very tasteful too, not too overblown or brickwalled. The arrangement is also top notch too. Loving the bassline addition in the 2nd half. Not what i think of when i see the images, i do think some parts are slightly overblown as well, however i cannot deny this was just great, it has a lot of potential. Good job!

Arcana - Thick trance chords, and pretty nice vocals. It's quite the space like theme, even though the images showcase a window and rain. The vocal effects are very cool, it makes for a alien like sound, although it is mildly out of tune, but i blame the effect, not the voice. The drums make an appearance for 2 seconds then leg it haha. I sense a lot of potential here, more drums, smoother effects to make for a less detuned vocal, but aside from that, it's great, I liked it a lot, good job!

Coloradoweeks - Ooh Jazzy chords, kind of close to Autumn Leaves in the style. Singing is so good here, because it's closer to a dry voice the authenticity comes out, resulting in a extremely awesome singing voice. Combined with the extremely quality jazz chords, it makes for a wonderful listen. Mix is so great too, this is Norah Jones level, even if not as Jazzy, it still sounds awesome either way. Yeah i will definately give you this one, in fact it was good enough for the 2nd spot, incredible work!

Top 3 - obScene, Coloradoweeks, updlate.

Voider and Nukage also deserve to be on the list.
